Amazing instructional that properly goes over how to keep the mount, attack from it and transition from it, these techniques have helped make my mount even better, I particularly enjoyed the mount retention
Jake is a great fighter and athlete, but this instructional falls short. Not worth the time or money
Jake shields is a great athlete and fighter but appears to not be a great teacher. This video series is not up to BJJFanatics standards and definitely not worth the money.
There's a ton of good info in this video. Practical knowledge that only comes from years of competition like Jake has done.
I watched the mounted arm bar segment on the way to a tournament and hit it in competition the first time I attempted it.
This is an excellent value for an instructional. Jake Shields , multiple organization mma champion and adcc bronze medalist, gives Quick pointers on position control then goes right into attack options. excellent pointers for the head and arm choke not normally seen that goes into defences, counters, and proper position advance into the back take. In all reality that could be the instructional alone. Jake adds onto the gold nuggets given in this product by showing methods to attack the entire body from mount and variations. The only negative I can give in this instructional is it is a double edge sword. For example; when he dives into leg attacks from quarter mount, he doesn’t go into specifics of leg locks- that being said THIS IS A MOUNT video. So I actually think it’s better that Jake sticks to his aim in the instructional. I feel this is almost a must have. I look forward to more instructional material from jake
Jake's videos are great because he shows what has actually worked for him in high level competition. Anyone could definitely learn from him!
After I saw Jake demonstrate the Mount on Mike Jackson, it got me to think he might know a thing or two about retaining position and finishing on the top. Mike just looked completely defenseless, like a goldfish flopping around after having been removed from an aquarium, just flopping around. So I purchased Jake's Mount Course, I thought it was pretty good.
Mike Jackson might not like it but this is a great series!
