A good instructional for older practitioners
Ellis presents an excellent instructional for those of us who are aging or have come into jiujitsu later in life. Changing ones mindset from power and speed to patience and timing is hard at the best of times. But in this instructional Ellis provides multiple techniques to assist in looking at a different way to approach and modify your game as Father Time turns his attention to you.

Lots of tips to avoid injury and keep in the game as you get older. My joints appreciate that.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Great product
I love the choice of techniques, the camera work, Rick's way of teaching, and Roy Dean's special guest appearance :D
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:efficient moves
It is interesting how these similar moves naturally occur when we get older.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Simple, yet effective system
This instructional is great because it's a system! You get a basic, yet effective system that you can perfect and modify through out your bjj career. It's not just for old guys. Basics never die.

Excellent as always
I really enjoy listening and learning from Rick
So for me Rick is one of those people that I just enjoy listening to and learning from. He speaks in way that is very easy to follow and is very to the point with just the right amount of extra stuff to keep you engaged. I have follwed his Youtube channel for a while now, I have one of his seminars and now I own this piece. I am an older out of shape BJJ student and I can say I have used a lot of Ricks teachings along with other resources in an attempt to improve my game. Check out his Youtube and if you like the way he speaks and if you find him easy to follow then I would say grab this instructional. You will not be disappointed. He is loaded with great information and insight.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:I really liked this instructional.
I really liked this instructional. Instruction was straight forward and not complicated and as I age I need simple yet effective techniques that will allow me to continue to grapple.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Great
Great, simple and systematic for slowing down faster (and younger) players for us older dudes.
Not just for Old Men! Beautiful and Efficient Jiu Jitsu
BJJ Old Man Style is a phenomenal instructional. Though marketed towards older Jiujiteiros it really is all about using efficient technique rather than just athleticism. As a relatively new new student, I have learned a significant amount from this instructional about utilizing proper timing and position to achieve my goals in BJJ. This instructional is also relatively short and easily digestible allowing multiple viewings to glean the important details. I highly recommend for all levels and ages who wish to improve their efficiency at this Art!

Mr. Ellis is a Black belt under Roy Dean and it shows with his crisp style of jiu-Jitsu. I was able to apply the closed guard passing and closed guard passing counters within a week.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Very good
Well produced and very precise instructions. I especially liked some of the sweeps from closed guard.
Perfect Roy dean style
For the old guys
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Aweseome for anyone over the "hill"
Rick has a knack for explaining techniques and his online video content has always been insightful. Once again provides a valuable perspective on BJJ for those of us feeling the ravages of time. As someone in their mid 40s, his advice and teaching has given me a lot of good information to incorporate into my training. I highly recommend.
