Kimuras are a major part of my game and have been for years and I still learned alot from this instructional. minor tweaks here and there are paying dividends!

I have trained for a long time in MMA and bjj. I have an interest in all martial arts and this catch wrestling take on the Kimu....double wrist lock is worth the investment. I learned a few things, conceptually and technically that will undoubtedly be useful.

This isn't my favorite instructional on the kimura lock. But it's still really good. Harry Smith doesn't go into the nitty gritty technical details of how to finish the lock in the same way that Danaher, Avellan, or Melanson do it. However, this shortcoming is also a strength of this video. By avoiding too much technical detail, Smith saves time to talk about possibilities. He shows some really interesting possibilities on how, where, and when to snag the kimura lock. It definitely broadened my perspective and I appreciated the video.

You will get finishes, defenses, throws and takedowns, escapes and reversals and sweeps as well. It starts with finishing mechanics and continues with setting the trao/DWL up before it mives into the technuques. The breakdown is simolyfied and deep at the sane time. Absilutely recommended!!!

Harry Smith has a strong catch wrestling lineage and trains with Josh Barnett. He was previously trained by Billy Robinson and in this video series shows some great variations of the double wrist lock. Hoping he releases more instructional videos soon!
