The student has become my teacher
I was one of RIch's first instructors along with John Danaher. He and I opened a gym together 13 years ago, so I have been able to see his growth and progress over the years. I lived in Brazil for over 2 years, speak fluent Portuguese, trained with the great John Danaher everyday for almost 4 years, and been exposed to martial arts at the highest level for over 2 decades. I can admit that Rich has surpassed my knowledge of the gentle art and has also developed himself into an extraordinary communicator of the art. The video series is loaded with all kinds of great information that he has amassed training with some of the best people in the world. Regularly with John Danaher, Paulo Miyao, and Eddie Cummings in addition to countless private sessions with most of the best practitioners on earth. Not to be missed if you want someone honestly showing you a ton of valuable information. Best of all the money you spend goes to helping fight cancer. Win win!

This is a great purchase, especially if you're a purple belt like me, learning to transition guards together (along with their sweeps and foot locks). My game is centered around x guard, so this was the perfect instructional for me. Rich teaches in a quick and methodical manner, which I very much appreciate. He is also inspiring, as he still trains every day at age 62!

This is a really nice look at guard from someone who has a real talent. I have been looking for a way to drill guard transitions for a while, and this is a great DVD for that. As open guard is so wide, it is really important to have a good feeling for the exact placements which are valuable instead of just flailing around. This DVD will show you how to move easily through x-guards into waiter, k-guard and de la riva. The transitions are really cool and though this is a gi DVD, it does have great applications for no gi. I will use this to help me navigate this really complicated subject.

Having known and trained with Rich closely for a few years, I can attest to knowledge on the mats!

I’m extremely grateful for Rich and his approach to our sport. He is a dedicated student of the game, and generous teacher. It’s an honor to support tap cancer out. Thank you, Rich!
