  These instructionals are ideal for me as a grappler who has focused much of his game on being difficult to beat, it gives me insight into improving this further. The escapes here have added details that I can build onto existing knowledge quite easily, it's definitely recommended. Beyond that, one of the most important aspects for me with these videos is relatability: Is the instructor able to adequately convey their knowledge in an engaging way, Tonon did that easily.

• Makes getting caught in subs fun

  These techniques make me excited to get caught In subs. I think of getting caught in a triangle or arm lock now as an entry to heel hooks. The Look on peoples faces when you get them is awesome.

  This is the perfect supplement to my training. After each training session, if I get tapped, I look up that section in the video series. I'm seeing drastic improvements. Gary is a gifted instructor - I'll get whatever he puts out.

  Excellent overview and analysis of escape concepts and techniques, instantly applicable with a suprising rate of success even by beginners like myself. On my first sparring after watching this DVD, I managed to escape 90% of my fellow and significantly more experienced white belts. Now I can finally role without constantly having my elbows constantly connected to my body :)

  Garry is quick and to the point with all of these escapes. I was able to sit down and watch the entire video in one go. Lots of great escape information that was previously unknown to me and things to revisit. I will definitely be going back through and revisiting techniques taught in this instructional.
