Guide To Not Pulling Guard by Alan Shebaro
Combining judo and wrestling for takedowns.
No nonsense, clear instructional
nice to see a judo instructional with Judo/wrestling basics that isn't full of confusing terms but practical tips and details that should be easy to implement in your game, great value for it too!
Good Stuff
Excellent content.
A practical an efficient system of takedowns
Alan Shebaro offers us a practical an efficient system of takedowns that anybody can perform even if you are not a judoka, a wrestler or a young flexible guy.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Concise - accurate - applicable
All given techniques ate broken down really well. You got techniques out of double cufl and double lapel grips as well as collar or collar and sleeve. It is about attacks and counter attacks. Great source!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Don't be scared of takedowns!
Really enjoyed this instructional. Professor Shebaro did a great job explaining the technique and showing it from multiple angles and pointing out specific details. Those small adjustments seem to make or break the takedown and are easy to remember. Looking forward to more instructionals from him in the future!
Everything from combat base is pure gold
This one makes no exception. The takedowns are not “clean” as in judo instructional, but perfect for bjj
Practical and Efficient. Fantastic Buy!
Professor Shebaro provides concise instructions to learn practical BJJ skills that can be used to win competitions and self defense situations, regardless of usual size and strength limitations. Highly Recommend!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Phenomal instruction and great unorthodox takedowns
Alan is a great instructor with a black belt in Judo and BJJ. I've always enjoyed his takedowns because they are so unorthodox but easy to do. I'm extremely grateful to have a 24/7 resource like this video to access this series of takedowns.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Very helpful with takedowns, defense and grips
Being a white belt I found this video very helpful. Alan Shebaro really breaks down the Techniques and explains in detail why and how it should be done. I really enjoyed the grips portion. When I first started I found myself lost and confused about what grips I should have. This video has me on the right track now. The details of how to break grips and what grips are ideal for the situation helped me a-lot. I highly recommend this video for takedowns and how to Defend them.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Alan Shebaro’s throws rock
Critical to becoming a complete Jiu Jitsu practitioner, and quite possibly to save your *** in a self defence predicament
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Jiu Jitsu applied to the real world
I got the privilege of training with Coach Shebaro and can say from first-hand experience his techniques show how to apply jujitsu in the world of real application not just based on sport. Pulling guard in the real world can have serious negative consequences.. He approaches how to manage the situation and take someone down which will expand everyone’s game. This is an excellent knowledge set that will benefit everyone who views.
