Could have been better
There are some interesting techniques in here. But Kadri spends half the instructional demonstrating from bottom side control with the opponent pinning him from the left. Most people are right handed and will pin you from the right. He doesn't demonstrate the techniques from the other side. It's probably not a big deal if you are watching with a friend and trying these techniques immediately. But if you are trying to visualize them on the other side and then remember them in the gym later, it's almost impossible. So I found this instructional not very helpful for that reason. Just show it on the side that people use 90% of the time!

Very informative material that I have not seen before and very well presented. I will definately implement these systems into my game.
Side control assassin
Great stuff
short but very helpful
This is a short instructional but just the money grip was worth the price! thank you!
Good stuff
Great detailed explanations that were easy to understand. Like the praying mantis hand was a good reference and painted a clear picture. Really appreciated seeing all the different angles. Tremendous instructor indeed.
I wanted to like this
I really wanted to like this, but it fell a bit short for me. The highlight, in my opinion, is the Ninja choke from side control, but everything else felt just okay.
Interesting techniques to try
I like Latif, he seems like a humble guy. There's a few techniques here I'll definitely try, especially if I feel stuck in side control, I liked how Latif made reference to considerations for using these in the gi. interesting ideas of what to do from a scarf hold position. My main problem with it was with the first technique, but mainly because of his training partner Wim, as his side control wasn't chest to chest, left loads of space at the hips and didn't have good head positioning, which created unrealistic circumstances to put the choke on, so now I have no confidence in whether this option will actually work (I've not removed a star for this though, as it's not Latif's fault, also because I feel that overall the main point of this instructional is to give you more ideas, where your first priority should always be to escape anyway).
Great!
Nice instructionals
Great
Tricky stuff
Attacking from Side Control Bottom!
The instructions are very clear and the techniques are built up in a very concise way. It is a great addition as well as a plan B from bottom if it is hard to recover guard ar srand up or as an A game too. Highly recommend!
Very Cool
If you thought you had no attacking options from bottom side control, you were wrong!
Side control is a trap
I am fortunate to have Latif as a couch and a training partner. I am very cautious when passing Latif's guard and establishing side control: he attacks me from there all the time!

Few techniques, all of them REALLY working from the worst position in bjj. Useful.

Great instruction here. Latif presents with clarity new ideas to deal with highly common unfavorable situations. Personal favorite: the money grip.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Just makes sense
A great teacher clearly explaining a technique that actually works.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Great sparring partner, great teacher
As a sparring partner of Latif, I know his side control is very good, so he knows what he is talking about. He is also very good in the way he explains techniques.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Great stuff!
Finally a claer and no ******** way to get the best out of side control. I had the chance and honor to roll with the author in Belgium, smooth and controlled, but so effective! Thanks for the shared knowledge!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Very Helpful
very cool concepts and techniques to deal with being in a "bad" position.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Hope from the side!
As a white belt who is consistently side controlled in most transitions prior to being submitted, this instructional provides the perspective I need to improve and even use as a starting point to build my offensive and defensive games.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:A truly unique approach to defense and side control bottom
Latif is one of my main training partners and coach at my gym. Normally when you pass someone's guard, you get side control. With Latif you might manage to pass his guard, but once you arrive on his side, you notice you don't have control. Latif has a really unique way to (counter-)attack from sidecontrol bottom with a combination of chokes and kimura's. You either get caught or you have to be very careful with your pressure. In which case Latif can use your hesitation to recover his guard. Latif has a really unique game and I definately recommend you check out his instructional!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Battle tested
Finally someone that reaches you how you be powerful from a position that is considered to be bad. I can personally attest to Latifs understanding and implementation of these concepts from bottom side. After watching this instructional, People Will fear to put you in side control as you Will have An answer that is much more than just An escape. 110% would recommend.
