J-lock
Jakob is a fantastic teacher and very personable. His J-lock is a very systematic approach to a unique position. I have been fortunate enough to learn from Jakob personally and everything he demonstrated live is captured in his instructional. He has inspired a new appreciation for scarf hold.

A submission that works in competition.
Explained step by step in a clear and detailed way. I didn’t expect there to be so many details to it. By now I can apply the JLOCK confidently on the mats. Recently I even hit the JLOCK in competition. Thank you Jakob

J lock
Good experience 👌
Highly recommended
Since Kesa-gatame is one of my best positions, I didn’t think I could learn all that much. But I did. Every situation is covered in great detail and Jakob is making the most of this powerful position. The shoulder lock submission is available from top, bottom and even from standing. If you’re interested in a high percentage and versatile control position with strong submission options, this is highly recommended.

I went to one of jakobs seminars and came away thinking how wonderful and effective the jlock was. I bought the video to refresh my knowledge and to uncut corners. I wasn’t disappointed👍
Awesome technique! It's my favorite submission now! This tutorial helped a ton!
Great lessons

Must Watch
Great Video fron a spacialist
Must have for Top-Players
I’m a competitive blue belt who regularly competes, and I’ve attended several of Jakob’s seminars in Germany. This instructional is a strong continuation of what he teaches there and works perfectly as a reference and refinement tool. The J-Lock itself is a highly effective submission that holds up both in the training room and in competition. What makes it especially valuable is that it’s not just about finishing — the position gives excellent control and pressure, which makes it ideal for dictating the exchange. That control aspect will feel very natural to wrestlers and judoka, since Jakob clearly integrates concepts from both sports into the ground work. Beyond the technique, Jakob is simply a great instructor and person. If you ever get the chance to attend one of his seminars, it’s absolutely worth it.
