• excellent instructional

  I am a 1st degree BJJ black belt that recently started training actual judo. Currently, I am an orange belt in judo. I have purchased several of Travis Stevens judo instructionals to supplement my training and they are all excellent; Mastering Sumi Gaeshi is no different. With this instructional, I have learned many new nuances for a throw I was introduced to early on in my BJJ career that have elevated my proficiency with the technique.

• Good choice for Bjj/judo

  Im a fan of the half-butterfly sweep and this really feels like the same sweep but as a takedown. And great details and variations of grips/stances is covered by Travis, as expected. Great instructional to drill over time with your friends

  Great content that fits right in to my main judo game, but might not fit everyone as Steven's style of set ups and and throws are his own individual variations.

• Great Instructional

  My favorite throw and so glad someone finally did an instructional dedicated to Sumi Gaeshi. I hope they continue doing more videos on sacrifice throws. Travis Stevens has become the best online teacher in my opinion. To be honest was not a fan of his first few that he released years ago - the techniques were great but the details were not as good as they are now. He really is one of the best.
