Such great details on this technique. Keeps it super simple while showing off exactly what you need.
Easy to interpret and apply plus the hawaiian shirt is epic
Mr Tudors way of teaching makes it very easy for dumb folks like me to learn and quickly apply his techniques to my game! A Must Have.
I've been waiting for ages for this to land on daily deal. All the stuff that comes out of Joel, Majid Hage and Jeff Glover is gold. Probably best suited to people who've been working with head and arm for a while, but some of the details are so slick.
Master class on the head and arm coke!
I really enjoyed this video. Joel makes this seemingly complex subject very easy to follow.
Joel is a great guy and is very interesting to hear his take on the head and arm. Great DVD!
Some good information here. Preferred other head and arm purchases on BJJF because of the details they go into. He shows the moves but I feel like skips over a bunch of the details and setups to pull them off. Still enjoyed it and learned a bunch.
i don't like to use head and arm chokes, because i have a neck injury. however i met joel when i was in san diego for a few months (i was a blue belt at the time) and i still use some of the stuff that he shared so i knew i had to get this series. i almost finished the 1st part and already picked up new concepts and techniques that i am planning to put some time in with a training partner. he actually shows more techniques that what's in the description, as he shows lot of little variations. i especially like that wrist lock from telephone defence! highly recommend this, despite the odd choice of clothing, which personally does not bother me at all.
I don't doubt his knowledge, pedigree or expertise, but this super casual approach -- including a button-down shirt and a belt with a metal buckle on the mats -- makes this nearly impossible for me to take seriously.
This is a great find, some really interesting setups and good technical details... I like Joels style, a bit different from the average instructional, kind of like a surfer version of Andrew Wiltse. I am from a surfing heavy area of Australia and we have a lot of surfers who do BJJ, so I get understand their vibe... Be good to see more of his technique... Recommended... Cheers...
