It’s Travis Stevens teaching you grips. What else do you need? Get it!
Densely packed with information.
As a beginner, I'm just starting to understand how important grips are for the fight. This video has become a great reference point for building a foundation and help me understand grip techniques and details.
Really helps to upgrade my grip fight for judo and BJJ!
Great but regret buying it in my first 2 months as a white belt because I prefer no-gi so wish I waited... besides my preference it's 10/10 for what it is
As a BJJ and judo practitioner, I really liked the gripping game. I learned lot more than I thought I would! Highly recommend!
I got this because as a white belt, I was always in the habit of 'death-gripping' too much and ending up with sore fingers/arms. I was really impressed with how concise and straightforward Travis is with delivering the material in this course. There's also a sneaky baseball choke hidden away in here near the end of the series and the grip he showed now allows me to consistently hit and finish it in both nogi and gi. Really cool instructional!
As a jiujitsu practitioner with no formal judo training; this video helped me understand gripping and manipulating the Gi jacket in different ways. Travis delivers high quality knowledge and easy to follow techniques. This is always a great reference from beginners to long time practitioners. Always a pleasure to have Olympic style techniques.
I like the content of this instructional by Travis, it has boosted my Gi game so much
Foundational information that often gets overlooked. Clear instructions from a highly accomplished competitor.
Professor Stevens gives a technical and efficient instructional on standing and ground Situations. I have implemented and trusted my judo grips during rolls. I am a Judo Black belt and a Blue Belt in JiuJitsu. I have been following Professor Stevens for many years now!
Its with good reason this dvd is called Scientific. Very detailed and full of info.
Just what I need, amazing details, thank you
Half a year ago I have bought this instruction. It has improved my techniques on a general level. Grips are so important but one does rarely think about it. Thanks to this video I am putting a lot more thought in my grips and it pays off enourmusly.
No one better to learn grip techniques from then a Judo champion. Travis does an excellent job explaining the pros and cons of different grips and when best to utilize them in specific scenarios.
Its secrets like this you don't always get in your group sessions.
travis ste vrens is grfeat, love his judo stuff to.
I never really thought about gripping. Somehow I ended up purchasing this class and it worth every penny. Travis Stevens how to really set the grips. In bjjj many people use sloppy grips. The pros of course have iron grips but don't talk about the technique. Since I have integrated some his advice my grips became a lot sturdier. Now people tell me after sparring: man, you are really strong!
I love Travis Stevens. I figured a Judo champion who is also a BJJ black belt would have some amazing insights on grips. He does. Found out why some were hurting my wrist/fingers too much.
Grip fighting is essential but often-neglected fundamentals skill in BJJ. This video teaches you those cornerstone skill in detail and world class efficiency.

As a white belt this one has made a lot of difference for me. Simple but essential

This is instructional has improved my confidence on my stand up game as it has given me an edge on being more knowledgeable on my grip fighting and my stances. Travis’s instruction is clear and is filled with many ah-ha moments. I will definitely be picking up is turtle guard instructional as well.
