• Fundamentals but Perhaps New Essentials

  The technical information here is something that could be said to be fundamentals. But fundamentals in the sense that if you learn this you will have a great base that should last through ranks. Though I’ma mere white belt, I was practicing this with a brown belt and we workshopped it together. I wanted his experience to help find holes that I, as a white belt, may not see as easily. We found it to be quite robust and we plan to test it further then try it on our peers especially those of higher rank. That said, this system could probably be developed further. But it’sa great back defense starting point or revision if you’re further along. There’s a few funky bits of audio glitches, but nothing major.

  I've been taught this system by Steve Hordinski at Katharo BJJ. It works great for avoiding an opponent from securing back control and forcing them to chase you.
