Fantastic
Great Closed Guard Details. Really made it work for me.
Surprisingly good
These submissions are exactly what I needed. As a white belt I want to learn full guard fully and use it as a hub to get me on top to Mount (Really trying to work Kesa Gatame “Scarf”) or to be dangerous from Full Guard bottom. The way he breaks it down and gives you the little nuances makes ALL of these submissions doable. Now it’s time to work the mechanics and gain the muscle memory. Side note: The Sweeps and back takes by Giancarlo are also worth its weight in gold.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Very detailed and easy to digest
I really enjoyed this instructional. As the techniques are being shown from multiple angles, it is easy to pick up the details. Very well explained. Thank you.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:It is all in the details
This instructional teaches a range of effective submissions from closed guard bottom. The content includes two methods to pull closed guard; a series of armbar attacks (x 5); a cross collar choke including an armlock from the opponent defending the cross collar choke; a series of different triangles/entries to triangles (x 6); two omoplatas ; two monoplatas; a kimura; a loop choke; a reverse armlock; a reverse kimura; and while the opponent is standing a straight armlock, a omoplata and a triangle. OK these are all the normal suspects for closed guard submissions, but what makes this instructional different is the quality of the instruction by Giancarlo. This is the second Giancarlo instructional that I have purchased. I found the closed guard sweeps and back takes instructional to be excellent and based on this experience I purchased the submissions instructional. The closed guard submissions instructional does not disappoint. Giancarlo’s instructions are clear and easily understood. He provides all the little details that make a technique work. Each technique is repeated multiple times so that it is easy to understand what is being done. Techniques are shown from different angles. For me, the highlight of the instructional is the series of triangle chokes. Giancarlo’s approach is such that you don’t have to have long legs to successfully perform a triangle from closed guard. He teaches how to deal with your opponent’s posturing and stacking. The focus is on ensuring that you have sufficient time through defensive means to position yourself so that your legs avoid your opponent’s shoulder and that you can lock your legs in the most optimal position. Sound and picture quality are good. The angles of the technique displayed are appropriate. If you wish to learn a number of effective closed guard submissions or improve and refine your existing knowledge, then this instructional is sure to please. The instructional is 2 hours and 38 minutes long.
