Gordon is an excellent teacher and he clearly has an amazing system that can translate to the regular practitioner. I have multiple instructionals from Gordon and I will tell you you won't regret buying his stuff.
Gordon is the best no gi grappler, hands down. This video is amazing and I’m glad I get to learn his techniques with very foo detail. Each section builds on the previous. I wish I was in Texas so I could go to his school! Great stuff!
Such a great instructional! Although there is a lot of stuff in this video that will take time for me to fully grasp, there is a lot that I've already started to apply. As a blue belt I feel like this video has already given my game a big leap forward.
Haven’t watched it yet
Extremely detailed
Superb details by Gordon. He covers lots of techniques that he has been using and I must say I am impressed with his explanation which is easy and understandable.
Gordon is the man!!! Gotta buy them all!!
Hands down the best back attack series.
Amazing in depth instruction with techniques that work in practice. Worth every penny!
This DVD provides the viewer an in-depth approach to a position that I often found myself in but lacked the knowledge and technique to maintain and finish in. As with all of Ryan’s instructionals, the content is offered with thorough explanations and reasoning.
I had good success reaching the back, but not finishing. This instructional helped to tighten up my finishes from the back. Very extensive and detailed techniques from Gordon. I would not hesitate to purchase this instructional series if you are looking to improve your back takes and finishes. I look forward to purchasing more instructional from Gordon on other techniques as I'm sure those videos will be equally helpful. Every section was excellent.
Extremely Detailed...Excellent technique!
Beneficial to anyone looking for success finishing the back.
Even though I already had Danaher's back attack instructional, this one was very valuable! Great buy
Gordon does an excellent job and very thorough in teaching. You can tell he put time and thought into the project. I’ve also purchased attacking the guard and turtle. A lot of the moves overlap but that’s a good thing. It fits together in your mind like pieces of a puzzle. I will purchase Gordon’s guard video once I’ve had a few more times to take in the information I already have.
If you want to be the best then learn from the best. I’ve always been searching for what the best technique is. We only have a certain amount of hours to train so I like to be sure I’m learning the best stuff.... thankful for bjj fanatics and the internet I am sure I’m getting the best!
Very easy to understand but very intricate. Definitely helped me.
Excellent tutorial and details. Looking forward to more of Gordon’s instructionals coming out in the future :ok_hand::upside_down:👍
This DVD is split into three sections. A control section lasting 4 ½ hours, a finishing/offense section lasting 2 hours, and a sparring / sparring analysis section lasting 1 hour. All for a total of 7 ½ hours. The control section is about countering early and late stage escapes / recovering rear mount. The finishing section shows you specific grip fighting strategies to breakthrough resistance. The production quality is lower than usual (probably due to quarantine.) The audio has a little echo to it, and there is an annoying bright white background screen throughout the DVD. Overall this is a good stand alone instructional and a very good add on to Enter the System. It covers many of the specific issues you’ll encounter that John does not go over in detail. However, I DO NOT RECOMMEND GETTING THIS OVER JOHN’S. John’s DVD has many more concepts and principles that will help you more in the long run, and make this DVD much easier to understand.
If you train BJJ and don't buy Gordon Ryan's back attack video you are doing yourself a disservice. He only submitted his opponents with these techniques in ADCC!
Plain and simple to understand.
