I love the Darce and now I have a lot of new ways to use it!
Hands down the best D'arce instructional on the internet. Kade and Tys is good, but is no comparison. This entire series is broken down perfectly, and very easy to follow.
Excellent video series. Dave is a master at explaining and demonstrating these concepts in a way that any skill level can understand.
Easy to follow, full of details
Really liked the instruction, just wish he spent a larger portion of the demo talking about principles and concepts than rattling off setups. I feel like he has a ton more insight to give there.
I expected this to be good stuff coming from Dave, but it was better than expected! His explanations of the techniques make it seems perfectly clear to me. Some of this, I was able to implement immediately, but the rest I've been drilling and hope to incorporate soon. Thanks for the good stuff Dave!
Very clear, concise and to the point. One of the things I appreciated about this instructional is the length for each segment. Because Dave is articulate and to the point his segments to drag on with any filler. You will learn the details for each technique and be able to move on to the next or go back without having to search and search for a key detail you're wanting to review. To the point!
Mr. Porter is a gosh darn wizard and he does a DEEP dive on finishes and so many amazing setups from everywhere! So many nice mechanics that it added details to some of my other favorite sequences too! I’ve been buying instructional content for +15 years and this instructional is one of my all time favorites! 10/10 would recommend :trophy:
Great Darce instructional from various entries.
Instructional very well done. Practical, easy to follow and apply. Useful. Recommended
Good clear instruction, worth the money!
Great details! Been darcing training partners on a regular since I started with the first instructional "Bringing back the Brabo" came out. This is a lot of new material of the same quality of the first instructional.
The content is easy to understand und he has a nice way of teaching the basics of da the darcecoke
good details on how to finish from different set ups
This is a down to business setup directory for the darce. Porter, a darce expert, goes through his version of the finishing mechanics , which is not the only way to do it , but is definitely high level, well thought and well explained. If like me you learnt the Darce from JD (rotational finish, preferably mount finish) it would be different and easily combined with the JD method. Did help me a lot. But the real bulk and the real gold is just the very comprehensive and versatile set up list. You’ll hear a lot about the versatility of the darce but I have yet seen an instructional that will really deliver on this such as this one. Standing, top, passing, bottom, inferior position and honestly i didn't even study the gi set ups at all...Porter approach is clear and concise and its more of a tech directory than concept and principle based( which seems it could be more bcz he is obviously a very thoughtful and intelligent guy) but honestly it works and you don't need way more. Something I especially liked is the variety and breakdown of the darce from bottom side control, I have seen this set up before of course with Glover and Danahar, but porter has like 4 different variations of it, depending on opponent grips and control which I have not seen in other places. recommanded if you are into darce wizardry and want to have a super well rounded set up game for this particular choke.
BJJ Fanatics continues to provide exceptional training material and this video fits that mold.
A masterful explanation of how to break through defenses that have stymied me for years! So many details that I wish I had learned my first year in Jiu-Jitsu. Another fantastic instructional from Dave!
I got David´s Bringing back the brabo DVD and I absolutely loved it and now he shot the instructional again adding to what I thought was pretty awesome to begin with. It just shows the depth of his jiu jitsu knowledge is.
Dave Porter is a fantastic instructor and the Brabo/Darce Revolution is a must have for any practitioner. This instructional contains some of the most creative set ups to the choke I’ve seen, especially from bottom positions. This series will truly enable you to hit the Darce from anywhere.
Dave, is one of the best Jiujitsu instructors I’ve known. His knowledge and way he explains movements helped me so much with my Jiujitsu game, that words can not explain. Not mentioning that he’s one of the Master Pedro Sauer black belts. It’s a huge advantage.
Professor David Porter presents an amazing catalogue for the learner teaching everything on darce chokes. As a studier of the move myself, I walked away with all of knowledge that will greatly assist me with not only finding new ways to execute the move but also strengthen the traits I already have.
Dave Porter's approach to this system of arm triangles is as thorough as it is accessible! I appreciated the instruction as Dave not only went into why a mechanic is executed in a particular fashion but also some considerations to the opponents reactions to said mechanics. Even if the Darce is not an option you had considered (and especially if it is!) for your game, I would highly recommend this as the methodical way this system is covered can add to your game beyond the finish! I eagerly look forward to more instructional from Mr. Porter!
