This video takes exceptional to new heights. Mr. Machado changed the way I look at butterfly. Throughout the entire video I was introduced to ideas that made my game grow immensly.

One off my favorite instructional. He does a very thorough job of explaining the intricate details of butterfly.
Classic Butterfly and One Leg X - "single leg x" Butterfly - upgraded
Professor Carlos Machado did a great job of creating a system out of the hook sweep based on double butterfly hooks and one leg x butterfly hook. You get tought the basic mechanics of the hook sweep and various set ups as well as transitions from other guards. Even more you get ideas how to actually dominate the scramble so that you are able to set up your game form out of other guards and guard retention. An additional system - the v trap is explaied in depth. Escpecially the set ups and head control via the V-trap is covered deeply. What is another great Benefit of this instructinal is the introduction to the Freeze and reset method which basically means to train to to get to and maintain control within certain spots and if you loose it to get back to the last spot or even to the very beginning. He is pointing out the do’s and dont’s and also points out common things which does not really matter so that you can put your focus on Details that matter. Highly recommed!!

infinite jiu jitsu part 2! (or even the old hookflip instructional). i would say 2.0... it's not a sequel but a really improved version. terrific.

Carlos Machado is not only really passionate about jiu jitsu but he's also a real grand master and this shows in his teaching. I never such an efficient butterfly system. I especially like his concept of hacking. I integrated some of his tips and it really helps in lifting dudes in a spectacular way.

Classic butterfly guard by Carlos machadoIs much more than five stars. But that’s all I could read it. I have Several instructional’s on the butterfly guard. But this instructional goes far beyond any instructional I’ve ever seen. It’s a complete package if you’re looking to use the Butterfly guard in your game. He is showing you the finer nuances And details That make the position work. I sure hope he comes out with additional instructions because this was a slam dunk. And worth every cent.
