Great solo training
I find it hard getting to the gym sometimes so this was very helpful to help me practice by myself
Great for Beginners
This is a great tutorial for beginners. Paul goes over a lot of foundational concepts and gives tips on how to use a ***** for training. That said, since I am currently a blue belt, I have learned most of these basic skills. The first 3 volumes were not as useful to me as the last volume. I was looking for more chained drills, which volume 4 does contain. I still watched all the videos and received helpful info from the first 3 volumes. However, I personally found the last volume most valuable and wish there were more drills in this program. I think this tutorial is most beneficial to white belts.

Review of The Essential Techniques With a Grappling ***** – Paul Boyajian
Paul Boyajian provides a simple, categorized approach to working with your grappling *****—something most of us probably need. Let’s be honest: how many of us have a ***** at home that just collects dust? Maybe once in a while you give it a beating after watching the UFC, or you roll around with it aimlessly just so your wife doesn’t think you’ve got a weird doll fetish. Here’s where Paul comes in—he gives your ***** real purpose. His material is short, direct, and easy to apply, turning that dusty training tool into something you’ll actually use with direction and intent. I really enjoyed the straightforward style, and this program has definitely given me new life in my solo training.

Training With A ***** 101
This video gives a nice bit of advice for how to train with a *****. Of course you can always simply practice techniques you’ve seen in class or on a video online. It’s great to reinforce what you’re practicing in class. To help get you started Paul provides an 8-position framework that he ties together at the end of the video. These techniques are based on using the gi but I had little trouble adapting them for no gi, so I wouldn’t worry about that. The 8 positions are: Being in Closed Guard Side Control Scarf Knee On Belly Mount Technical Mount Back Mount Holding Opponent in Closed Guard The video then proceeds to score you some basic attacks from these positions. Overall it will help you get your familiarity with the names of positions and attacks while helping you become more comfortable with the essential movements and attacks. This video would most likely only benefit us white belts but could be a nice starting point to come up with a self practice for higher belts though they would quickly move past this video since it’s the basic concept of setting up a solo practice that they might use then add more advanced options. I feel the $79 price tag is possibly a bit high. But if you get it with a coupon it’s definitely worth it at 50ish% off. However, if you’re the type that would really prefer someone to give you a staring map rather than developing your own practice sequence you may not mind the full price tag. Overall a great starting point for solo practice with a *****.
Great for solo drilling
Got 2 ***** drills courses - this is the best

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:White or blue belt looking for motivation? Buy this!!!
Honest review skip to and know the 8 positions and then learn how to work those positions with some gems that will help you hold your position or set something up then learn and work some basic submissions from those positions. He drops some gems. This isn't like advanced stuff but if you feel lost at class or bored with what you already practice with your ***** this man will give you multiple things to add to your routine that will really work when you apply them to class!!

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Great Instructional On How To Drill With A *****
While many people think dummies are useless or make fun of them, there are definitely things you can drill on them and improve your Jiu Jitsu (especially helpful if you are a hobbyist with limited time). Paul’s instructional does a great job detailing various techniques to train with a *****, and gives anyone a framework that will help their game.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Finally...someone showing me how to work a *****
I've been waiting for this video for a long time. I always feel a bit lost in how to optimize my time with the *****. This guy goes through the basic BJJ attacks and defenses well.
