The first 20 minutes alone were worth its weight in gold. I highly recommend this. Concepts > Technique
one of the most interesting instructionals out there
A game changer, different view on mma
Great video for the price.
great
Truly amazing product made by mr.jackson. It actually changed the way i look at combat completly.
Greg explains some of his core philosophy’s around certain situations and how to use them in practical ways to win👍
Mr Jackson has realized that he can provide more to martial artist by improving there conceptual theory rather then trying to go into any sort of technical detail with a short instructional video.
Absolutely loved it. It's different to other instructionals. Makes you see things a bit differently.
His explanations on tactics are awesome. It gave me a better understanding of tactics in general. A much underrated topic and I didn't see any instructional like this before. It's less about techniques tho. Recommended 👍
This is a great video for studying some intuitive concepts that can apply to all forms of combat sports. Great to listen to some more conceptual stuff during quarantine when I can't practice as much.
Great videos! This is really about foundational concepts and more importantly strategies for combat sports in general. He gives example techniques from BJJ, wrestling and striking/MT to illustrate the concepts and strategies. A total of about 2 hours of videos. While most videos teach striking as a discipline and grappling as a separate discipline, his concepts connect the disciplines and he gives good examples of how striking and grappling can be used together so 1+1 = 3. That said, you could take these concepts and strategies and also just apply them only to your BJJ game (gi or no gi) if you wanted to. I think it's complementary to concept focused videos (from Danaher for example) in that this is more about combat strategies than just concepts and there's really nothing about the details of techniques in these videos. For example, you can take these strategies and layer them over Danaher's Enter The System series and add another dimension to what you get out of Danaher's videos. He doesn't tie the different strategies together explicitly in these videos but says he'll do them in a future video. Because it's at the strategy level, you'd have to think about how to apply this to your own game and techniques. The great teaching and clear concepts/strategies really makes you wish this was more like the 8 volume Danaher sets but hopefully more videos to come. Of the many videos out there, I thought this was pretty unique and refreshing from one of the legends. I have zero connection with Greg Jackson or any of his gyms.
