Great breakdown of fundamentals. Found it helpful as a refresher after some time off training.
This is helpful in locking in the little details. Could use a little more time on each technique. It seemed like examples were not demo'd enough to my liking but may be enough for most folks
Incredibly intelligent instructor who explains things conceptually and so well. Easily the best instructional on choking mechanics from many common types of chokes. More importantly he teaches it conceptually and not on excessively long winded 100 part techniques.
Great instructional with details that make the chokes work well.
Really great video. He really breaks down things and helps me understand some little details of moves i would always overlook.
Great teacher and a great instructional!
Easy to understand. Improved my game.
Absolutely a must have to better the mechanics of your chokes/submissions. Professor Jordan break down mechanics and anticipating escapes. From the first five minutes to the very end always something to take away from this instructional. There are great practitioners and great teachers and Jordan is both. Great purchase and this video is one of my favourites.
Thumbs up
Jordan demonstrates techniques in the first part of the tutorial and breaks down the subs in the second part in live rolling. He's a very good teacher of BJJ. Love how simple he makes it sound. Highly recommend.
This is a two volume Course, the first is more traditional type of Instruction while the second has footage with Jordan Highlighting and discussing key points. A lot of grat info here and easy to digest
I have seen quite a lot videos on choking online and have had instructions. it was all good. But. This is by far the best overall explanation i have seen and heard - and also the best on were i just put it into direct practice in a way i never could before - in a week my chokes went up 1 level. The reason is that this was the first time i really understood the mechanics and pressure working together. some of the things i "knew" but really hadn't figured it out. The finer details. Which is the difference of straining/cranking to get a choke or choking. I see all kind of levels struggle with chokes in my gym and now i understand why they do. This video is very precise on how and why a specific choke works. If you pay attention to what he says all your chokes will improve (gi-chokes too). The principals he explains are general. also super - the second part with live rolling explained. I have a training partner that is blue belt that i adjusted chokes with. I have quite ok upperstrenght - so i always liked arm triangle. Also that improved so i needed much less force to choke. And - all my chokes have no crank now. As soon i feel myself starting to crank when trying to choke - i adjust to choking. I feel much more "relaxed" when choking -compared to before this video. I also used the principles he explains to improve my collar choke in Gi - and same there. My partner felt the collar choke from CG in a way he never did before. He said he felt the blood cut off instantly. From fighting to finish the choke with my strength and ok position - to my partner feeling the blood cut off in 3-5 seconds. With much less power used. That is the difference this video made for me. If you do your experimentation of adjustment and pressure with the guidelines Jordan gives with a training partner that helps out feeling the choke positions as explained and telling you when you got it - you will improve your choking for sure.
Very nice and easy to understand.which is way I love all of JTJs instructionals. Especially love the second half where JTJ shows examples of live rolling and how the chokes are applied/adjusted.
Jordan Preisinger created an outstanding manual on how to focus on the blood vessels lead by hunting for the soft part and proper alignment of the forearm and elbow. He also points out cristal clear how you always have the opportunity to implement your legs and arms. Furthermore you get an on point pathway how the front headlock chockes connect! As a follow up you get an excellent breakdown via live rolling and why he got it or not and why he had to switch or let go. Highly recommend!!
Good
Great teacher & great video :fire:
Jordan Preisinger is such an amazing teacher! This instructional shows you in detail how to really improve your NoGi chokes. I'm now finishing chokes at a way higher rate than before, it has really changed my choking game a lot! Preisinger shows you all the crucial details, but his style is very efficient and to the point, no extra rambling etc.
I had a hate hate relationship with the Darce before watching this instructional. Jordan is the first person Ive seen teach about the soft and hard parts of the neck for chokes. Excellent work.
Good info. Thorough
