Excellent guide for passes, sweeps, and submissions from 50/50
This is an elegant instructional that covers various techniques from 50/50, including passes from the top, sweeps from the bottom, and submissions from both. I also found a few key details that are going to help with both my guard retention and guard passing in other positions as well.

Necessary Evil!!!
50/50 has been my worst position... I lost one of my recent superfights by heel hook from 50/50. But this instructional has helped me a lot!!! It's helped me to improve my weak spot, by helping me to understand the position and my options a lot better.

Great instructional
Easy to follow along. I liked how Patrick would show different angles of the techniques. The last part of the video has several submissions from 50/50.
Highly NEEDED this instructional!!!
I lost a Superfight a few months ago. I got caught in a Heel Hook from 50/50!!! I knew 50/50 has been a weak point in my game for a while. I wish I had this instructional a month before that Superfight. But, at least now, I have improved my 50/50 game a lot... Hugely due to this instructional!!!
Very Much Needed
This instructional is very much needed. And, has helped me to improve my game from 50/50 guard. Leg entanglements was a weakness but now it's becoming a strength.

While it lacks information on entries (it’s all presented on the assumption you’re already in position) this set has a few key advantages. It extensively covers 50/50 from TOP, someting rarely seen in the very few 50/50 gi resources you’ll find, and it’s also not geared towards only the smaller player. Patrick is a much bigger guy than the athletes in most 50/50 sets you’ll see, and it gives a unique pov on the position because of it, particularly that it doesn’t just focus on unwinding the position but actively attacking it. If you want 50/50 to be more than a stall/footlock spot, and you want to connect sweeps to passes as well, snag this

This is one of the very few 50/50 instructionals out there that is both A) gi-based, and B) focused on the positional aspects of 50/50. Despite how common it is to see 50/50 win big on a yearly basis at IBJJF Worlds, it is rare to find a full-length 50/50 instructional focused on sweeps and passing. Unless you're fortunate to study under a 50/50 guru, most 50/50 players amass this info in a piecemeal fashion: scouting matches, finding 1-2 gems in an random instructional, asking questions at a seminar, etc... For a short set, this is good compendium of popular 50/50 techniques. It also contains several quality techniques not seen elsewhere. It is really helpful as a reference to have all these techniques in collected in 1 place, so big ups to Gaudio.
