The center piece of his technique is what Miller calls Overhook Position from side control bottom. You prevent the top guy from getting a crossface on the near side by forcing it into an underhook and then you cinch it with your overhook. You willingly give up an underhook on the far side but you counter it with a collar tie. You bring your two hands together for most of your escapes. You see teachings reminiscent of Henry Aikins, Pedro Sauer, the running man, iron pillow, pillow kesa gatame roll from the bottom also taught by Van **** and Scott Miller. I do not like the way he laughs after he successfully executes his technique, but the teachings are great!
An interesting study between guards
Very useful material, especially for less atletic guys. A lot of focus on body movements that help minimize energy expenditure.
Well put together principles for regaining your guard and avoid being smashed. Great instructional!
This is a GREAT instructional video. The concepts make rolling easier for older grapple and the principles help younger grapple understand positioning.
I really enjoyed this video program very much. It's full of practical and useful information and principles that have been a great addition to my game. Professor Miller's teaching style is great. He's relatable and breaks down the information very well. Highly recommended!
Extremely useful tips for very late guard retention and recovery!
Great instructional on old school late guard retention
Amazing concepts to survive, escape and even attack when you get passed. A game changer.
Zero guard approach, absolutely love it, to have such a detailed strategy when on bottom, to be as threatening as possible, bothering your opponent... Couldn't recommend more. Opens up your guard game...
Great principles clearly conveyed. As an older grappler I appreciate the conservation of energy. Effortless is always better.
Excellent
Very different interesting bottom game instrucional.
I love this instructional. Adam does an amazing job explaining. These are things we do, but might not understand why. I’ve implanted this into my teaching already with positive results
Good concepts on being safe and building a good position that then transitions into escaping.
As an older guy getting back into the game after a long long layoff, this is a must have. It will tremendously improve your survival and escaping skills. Of course it will take practice, knowing you will fail until you get it right.
Wow just Wow, I love everything in here, teaching style, principle behind the technique, how they execute, these knowledges will grant you confidential when you get passed or stuck in dominance positions. I can't say more, it must have.
