In a world of Gracies, learn from THE Gracie hunter… Sakuraba is an amazing guy. His understanding of biomechanics is incredible. Something like an ankle pick with his details will change your game… and there are tons techniques here. Highly recommended, one of the best instructional on bjj fanatics for a ridiculous price.
Learned a lot, cool atmosphere in the video
Outstanding instructional techniques! Kazushi Sakuraba is a legend! A must see video!
Great instructional, funny and entertaining!
First of all I have to start by saying I am not a practitioner, I am a huge fan of bjj. So I have no school, much less ranking. That does not, however, mean I cannot enjoy instructional videos. Few are better than the legend that is Sakuraba. Here, along with the always, gregrarious Bernardo Faria and the jovial Craig Jones Saku shows a variety of chokes, leg locks, and ways to have better leverage on your submission attempts. I would highly recommend to anyone. OSS!!
Great stuff! Loved the alternative take from a legend.
One of the best CACC practioners of the modern era. His wins against the Gracie clan say it all! Anything this guy has to teach should be learnt and drilled.
Great technics...simply and effective!
Was a bit different from other videos from the site but learned a lot and have added it to my bjj game play.
Sakuraba showcases effective techniques that are relatively unorthodox. Very fun series and you can tell by Bernardo and Craig's reactions to certain techniques that they are surprised quite frequently
A bit slow due to the language barrier but overall 5 star detail on submissions and tactics along with the podcast segment at the end that gives in depth details in Sakuraba's history as a fighter.
I'm so glad I got this. NZ has been in lockdown so I haven't been able to train the techniques that have jumped out at me to include in my game. Tonight however.... it's on Love the range and again another winner from BJJ Fanatics
Great techniques. Doesn’t go with the norm and totally effective in application. Lots of opportunities to create gaps and create solutions to close them.
Awesome instructional with plenty of sneaky tricks
Every single technique Saku teaches is applicable to jiu jitsu. I was a 2 stripe white belt when I purchased this instructional a month ago. I have since gotten two more stripes! My kimura game has improved dramatically and I have an inventory of wily tricks up my sleeve. Most definitely recommend!
Bernardo, Craig and Sakuraba enter into a room, Saku is the only one left alive. This is great and if you mix this with other take down dvd' it gives you a ton of more options. Legends never die.
Really enjoyed this. One start off just for structure but think this is best view as less of a camp/clinic and more as a legend of the sport dropping into a class and getting opportunity to pick his brain. Bernardo and Jones do well to try and get it into a bit of structure but not easy. Craig Jones is clearly a fan and enjoying getting to pick Saka's brain on details. Bet money he got an autograph off camera. Surreal with a prowrestling masked translator but its Sakurabi so...of course :slightly_smiling: Great work getting Sakurabi to do this. Some great details both for folk's own game and to enjoy going back over his matches and seeing how he puts this stuff im action. I'm away to watch him beat Rampage again on youtube
I was stoked to see that Mr. Sakuraba Kazushi had an instructional on BJJFanatics.com He is one of the reasons I chose to take up grappling! As a life long practitioner of Kickboxing Saku helped me to see that one mustn't become stagnant or too prideful in ones respected style and if I didnt become more versatile I would regret it one day. Witnessing him with Mr. Bernardo and Mr. Jones was a huge bonus, they asked great questions. Such a blessing to see the man doing his thing! It is so cool what the BJJFanatics is doing by recording actual, real life legends of Grappling and NHB competitors who have left their mark on history. In depth and comprehensive breakdowns of proper techniques and tactics of proven by the man himself! In the words of the guy who is making it all possible to train in these styles "such a huge honor for me" Osu
An Aussie grappler, a Brazilian jujiteiro, a Japanese catch wrestler, a mysterious masked translator who might not even train himself... Whatever difficulties you might have expected coming into a discussion with such a diverse group of people with accents and foreign language barriers, there were none to be had. This is a good quality showcase of techniques from a mindset you won't experience in your local BJJ gym. Do yourself and your training partners a favor and buy this instructional.
Easy to understand the technics even if Saku doesn't speak any English, Mr.Translator, Craig and Bernardo explain it really well.
Great technique. I have used several of the moves regularly since purchasing the video.
The techniques and concepts are fonctionnal, simple, direct and highly effective. Great content.
Some real cool small details. Plus just good to see Sakuraba
Awesome simple techniques that work on very high levels. Easy to start implementing.
I gave it a 3 stars cause 3 stars are in the video Craig, Bernardo and Saku. But really not much to learn it is more like 3 top athletes having a chat and showing few preferred moves. A bit disappointed. Sorry but this is my honest opinion.
