A. B. created a great series about the low knee shield. The structure of his instructinals are all following the same clear path. Firist he is introducing the position itself as a starting point of get your half guard game going. Second he is showing how to get there out of all common positons in jiu jitsu. Third he is explaining the attacking position out of the low knee shield. Fourth he is going over the attacks which means sweeps and takedowns frm the knees. His conceptual approach is so useful! He points out the general an specific keypoints so well. Attacking one side of your opponents body.Be the first. Slow down the pace. Control the distance. Guide your opponent into a position where his reactons are predictabe and be prepared to deal with them. An I opener for me too was that your opponent`s knees pushing through your legs does not change your routes dramatically. So go for your game! Highly recommend!!
Aaron's teaching style fits so well with my learning that this instructional opened my eyes to really utilizing the low knee shield during almost every sparring session. A must have for your collection.
Excellent details on the low knee shield position. Aaron Benzrihem is one of the most underrated instructors out there. Low knee shield is a new favorite of mine to play in half.
Very good
Clear detailed instruction and lots of options. Playing bottom half is much more enjoyable after this instructional.
Bardzo dobry Świetna instrukcja pracy w półgardzie Godne polecenia
Great
I studied a lot of half guard instructional. This is one of the most surprising, offering a complete system that is, basically, an add on to every half guard game
I used to have problems with guys standing up in my half guard. This low knee shield series really helped with that. You can easily start implementing the material from this instructional into your own game.

Instructional very effective. Easy to follow. Clear, practical, detailed.
I honestly cannot express how important this dvd was for my game. How this is laid out is perfect. Explaining the importance of frames, the why, how to tactically look at things instead of a step by step tutorial. All of this allowed me to get myself unstuck in my guard game. Once I understood distance, control, and setting, I was able to more freely move through techniques. Aaron always gives a no nonsense approach and has a great way of breaking all of this down to smaller components and ended it all with higher level strategic ideas which I thought helped me a lot, because I tend to want to approach these DVD's as step by step tutorials.
If there's a half guard instructional out there, chances are I have seen it. That being said, this one definitely stands above the rest. I really like the way A-Aron approaches what he calls the "Attack" position, and he does a great job articulating how he transitions from the low knee shield to adjacent positions. Highly recommended!
Excellent instruction by Aaron! Very thorough, detailed, and easy to understand. Great info.
I found this instructional to be amazingly helpful. The amount of detail and content is impressive for the money. Aaron is an amazing instructor and athlete!
I watch Aaron's tube videos so I know he's a very detailed instructor. I'm starting Jui Jutsu a little late in life so I've been looking at half guard to slow all those youngins down and allow me to control the pacing of the roll. However, I was struggling to keep my high knee shield in place. I saw this video and decided to give it a try. I instantly had success with the low knee shield. It's much easier to maintain and lock in place. Also, you can slide it out easier when you want to attack. Aaron goes into great detail about the system he uses with the low knee shield so it's great for beginners like me. Thanks Aaron! Keep up the great work.
I’ve bought quit a few half guard / knee shield style dvds. None of them have even come close to this. This really does feel like a system that can be applied and learnt gradually. Aaron is a great instructor, not too fast and not too slow, who has a great style of teaching. He is younger, but really is talented at explaining things. Do yourself a favour and give this a go, especially if you have some monsters on the mats that need to be slowed down.
Half guard is my favorite position. I watch a lot of different types of training materials on this topic. LOW KNEE SHIELD is not a new concept for me, but in this instructional it is very well structured. For me it is also important that the techniques are applicable to the GI and No GI.
Man, the transitions from this position are limitless. This low knee shield is obtainable from practically every bottom position! I love the creativity and detail Aaron has put into this series. Not worried about bigger guys smash passing or spazzy training partners jumping around to a position I can control them. I love these defensive positions that can be quickly reversed into offensive positions. I knew this would be a masterclass after his half butterfly instructional helped me sweep the best guys at the gym at will with minimal effort! Thanks Aaron and congrats on your Blackbelt!!!
