Texas clover leaf
His application of the Texas clover leaf reminds me of Sensei Erik Paulson STF series! Catch wrestling holds that are more known for Pro Wrestling applications but work very well in grappling /combat!…the music in between chapters is better than most also.

Usually you see CACC techniques explained in a very static way but in this instructional video Sam Kressin manages to present some of the classic CACC techniques in a way you can apply them in active rolls against any sort of grappler, a very nice video.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Very Practical Applications of Catch Wrestling Techniques
I enjoyed Sams's instructional as he took some unique catch wrestling positions and techniques and presented them in a way you can tell had taken place after tests against active grapplers. He begins each technique by showing how it has been traditionally taught, which would have been from a long time ago and not against today's level of grapplers and then shows the problems you may encounter when attempting to apply it. But you can tell he has tested the technique in action as he then continues to explain how he currently sets up and applies the techniques, the most common counters you may experience and how to overcome the counters. Such information could only be gained with repeated live testing, especially when some of the more esoteric techniques. Overall I would say he is an excellent instructor.

Sam has put out a great instructional! His Karl Gotch toe hold applications are awesome. So many angles to hit it from. CACC truly is an amazing style and Sam is one of the best from it!

Sam has done an immense job of integrating catch wrestling techniques taught to him by the late great Billy Robinson into the modern grappling game. These esoteric techniques will definitely give you an edge in your no gi grappling game.
