Great details explained in this unique position.
fantasic dvd.
Helps a lot
Mostly leg entries. As usual Jason Rau does a great job condensing a lot of details into small easy to understand blocks.
An uncommon Position for guys more gi oriented (like me). Detailed instructional, loved it.
This is such a great position to work there are not many people i notice if any teaching this position. it is a great way to enter to the legs and look for off balances. this is definitely something if you have a hard time off balancing your opponent into attacks you should utilize
Awesome instructional. This works so much better for nogi, than De la Riva. Would highly recommend.
This is a great instructional that goes over the R-guard. There wasn't much info on this guard before, but thanks to Jason now there is. Jason goes over all the basics such as positioning and off balancing, but also attacks and how to get into other guard. He is really thorough and answers any questions you might have on the position.
About a year ago I had a training round with someone I had never trained with before. He was using reverse guard and I was lost. I attempted many of the "common" reactions that Jason refers to here, only to be put in a worse position. After the match he told me it was reverse guard, and I wasn't able to find any information on it. This video is a fantastic summary of the position and how to deal with common reactions. One frustrating aspect is that there should either be a mobile camera or more angles for each technique. There are many positions where I only see Jason's back and the action cannot be seen. This isn't just his videos, others on the site have similar issues.
Jason Rau has one again put out an excellent instructional with clear details.
clear concise and very effective instruction
This one has really helped bridge a gap when my DLR breaks down, helps make a natural pathway to pummeling to a productive X guard or other options.
this geezer is a wizard, all of his content is as good as it gets
This is a fantastic instructional and easily one of my top 5 all time favorites.. Jason Rau is a great teacher, goes over details thoroughly and respects your time. The Reverse Guard is a useful tool to anyone that plays bottom position and provides great technical answers in positions where I previously struggled , or was at a disadvantage. With the implementation of R guard into my game I've been able to recover inside position and start attacking. Great Video! I would definitely be interested to see more R-guard techniques and future instructional from Jason. A+
AWESOME content on a unique position. Already used it day one and it is making a huge difference in no-gi transitions from open guard to leg entanglements. Thank you for not making this 8 hours long like Gordon Ryan DVD's as well.
5 Out of 5. Jason Rau never disappoints.
Hi guys my Names Jason Rau and I’m a legend
this is amazing stuff. exactly what I needed for inside position based leg entanglements.
I have been learning from Jason for many years now and its great that he is now sharing his information via instructionals. I highly recommend his content.
Jason Rau is one of my favorite instructors. This series is presented in a clear, concise format.
Really ******* good. Jason has mastered being succinct yet choc full of information. I like that he talks about the strategy, his thoughts, and the technique during his demonstrations. He continues to put out some of the best material on fanatics. one thing, I'd love to see a specific sparring section or videos of Jason's rolls where he is applying r guard. Darn near perfect instruction regardless.
As usual, Rau is pumping out some of the most compelling content in the sport. I tried using Reverse guard about a year ago with some success but couldn't develop enough answers to make it a permanent feature of my game. Now with Rau's coverage of how to respond to smash passes etc... I feel confident I can implement this to better effect.
I’m not even half way through the first DVD and I’ve gotten my money’s worth. Jason Rau continues to put out comprehensive, cohesive, cutting edge modern Bjj. For reference, I’m a black belt who’s been training for 15 years.
