Good self defense
A cool look at off the mat Bjj possibilities and considerations!
This is a really great look at some self defense applications that I haven’t seen before
Great look at what Gi training can offer in a street context. Most people outside of maybe hockey don’t think about what a problem someone using clothing against you is like. Most street altercations don’t start where the guy attacking you is bare chested and there is a referee warning you not to grab his shorts. Would have given this five stars but many times I just could not see where the grips were placed very well. Over all I would recommend.
Professor Ei Knight and his co. povided a well chosen selection of gi chokes and transfered them into a street self defense scenario. First they are explaining the general mechanics of gi chokes/chokss with fabrics and then they go over the chokes using the gi first so that is easy to follow. Afterwards they show the same techniques wearing clothes of different constitution. The chokes they are illustrating are basically chross collar chokes and sliding collar chokes and ezikiel chokes. The set ups for the street are realistic and demonstrated really carefully and to the point. Highly recommend if you want to dive into jiu jitsu based self defnese!!
Good stuff!
Great instructional, clearly and concisely presented. Good practical applications. Recommended.
i found the material in the instructional very insightful and easy to be transferred in real life situations. oftentimes the sport environment doesn't provide a lot of skill training that we can take on the street in an immediate and speedy way. i think that this instructional fill the gap with his thorough and clear explanations .
Great video to take advantage of your knowledge in the use of the Gi for self defense and how to use normal clothes for doing exactly the same you do it in the mat. Eli Knight & Jared Jessup are great explaining and both have a lot of experience for it 👍👍
Great techniques
Professor Knight does a great job in breaking down effective moves for self defense from a gi perspective. It's simple instructions so easy to digest and they way the video is set with the GI first and then street clothes makes it repetitive so it sticks in the brain better. Get it and feel more confident in the streets and know you always can just walk away.
A must have for those that study BJJ for self defense. Eli takes Gi concepts and makes them easily understandable for street application. Great for all levels.
