Obvious ideas and explained in a simple but effective way.
a jiu jitsu instructional that all wrestlers will love
good
It's one of the mind changes instructional that I bought. Craig shares his vision and opinion on some positions of the game answers the way we do what we do in the gym and shows a different approach to the field. after I saw the instructional I understood how important to have the ability to Just stand up! for self-defense and when I am rolling. It is one of the most recommended instructionals out there. thanks a lot, Craig for the mind-opening instructional!
great jones
This course is really helpful, i have improved my skills very much after watched it
I love this instructional i bought it in preparation for an ADCC open tournament a couple months ago and i felt much more confident in turtle, and passing from top position highly recommend for those looking to just get better.
I learned so much from watching "Just Stand Up." For starters, as Craig said, my instructors have been critical of the turtle position. What I told my current instructor about using turtle to escape and stand up, he told me, "Get into turtle then." When I did, he proceeded to gently kick me in the ribs and back, saying, "See? That's why turtle is bad." But Craig did NOT say to STAY in turtle...! Nevertheless, I didn't argue - however, I did successfully use the turtle to escape side control and stand up after one of my rolls. Next, Craig delves into how Half Guard is the best position to pin someone - not side control. He also shows some nifty submissions and transitions to mount from side control. Turks were something I had never heard of but will start using in my rolls, for sure! "You Have Been Taught Arm Triangle Wrong" was one of the best parts of the video - I had no idea that there's an escape when people dismount to clock choke opponents! Craig shows you the RIGHT way to do it. Finally, he shows some nasty North-South Submissions. Love those. He will also make you laugh as he pokes fun at his buddies demonstrating the techniques. If he made one more short joke about Spencer, I wouldn't have been surprised the young fellow had jumped on Craig's back for an RNC! Anyway, can't say enough about this video. As a 52 year-old BJJ 4-stripe white belt, I can use all the help I can get. Thanks Craig! Would love to visit your dojo in Austin, but you would probably make a bunch of old man jokes about me. Still, would be worth it! Cheers!
Mexican Ground Karate on Top!!
I have been turning into turtle positions for years, exposing my back, and having some individuals try to dissuade me. Granted, great players take my back and submit me at times, but it’s a bit of the Jiu Jitsu language that I’ve been taking time to develop. This series adds pieces I’ve been missing, options I hadn’t thought about, and solid technique. I’ll say two things - first, this instructional is fire. An awesome addition to my game. Second, you have to have a good cardio base for this to work for you - as my cardio has gotten better this last year, these techniques work more often. You cannot be successful with this if you’re out of shape. It’s just too taxing. My two cents anyway!, Craig’s instructionals are always worth it in my opinion
The North South choke has become one of my favorite positions and one of my highest percentage finishes because of this instructional. Amazing details in here.
i really love how this helps me with my BJJ. i learn a lot and the coaches are (i think) pretty impressed. however, somtimes it is a little slow... but trust me, if you get this you WILL NOT REGRET it. allso i saw you have the same for wrestlers, i realy enjoy wrestleing (but love BJJ better) and i mirht look into the one for it. thanks so much for helping me get better! also i am 12 years old girl.
good
Great and clear instructional. Easy to apply and makes a huge impact on your turtle game. Excellent techniques and material.
Simply a must have for every MMA Fighter, really well explained with excellent teaching.
Craig Jones brings a nice perspective to his BJJ. Everything shouldn't be based on how grappling tournaments decide how points are rewarded
the material covered helped me win a tournament recently, as I was very difficult for my opponents to hold down
Changed my views on turtle completely, highly recommend.
An awesome concept and instructional that needed to be created! Thanks for "stepping up" to the plate Craig (see what I did there)! You can never go wrong with anything Craig puts out!
I am now confident I can survive prison
Just Stand Up is super solid. Craig shows and explains with great detail many important concepts. The man is also incredibly funny and holds your attention while teaching throughout.
Outstanding tutorial
Provided concepts that translate well to mma and Nogi grappling. I furthered this instructional by watching guys like Robert Whittaker, Derrick Lewis, and Dustin Poirier use these techniques and concepts at the highest level.
Awesome and funny as always from Craig Jones
Simple yet effective. Craig’s instructionals are always great.
