  As an older martial artist, I appreciate the premise of this instructional which is to prevent your opponent from getting close to a submission. Not really about escapes, so much as interrupting your opponents intention of getting you to a position in which they can apply some form of leglock. The video is well shot and easy to follow.

• Useful approach, helps against Sweeps too

  The Problem with Late Stage Leglock-Escapes is: Everybody knows them and calculates them into a Attack-Chain. For Example, Standard Heelhook-Defence often opens up a Footlock and so on. So the second or third Attack will come through. Bjorn focusses on shutting down the Entry-Positions themselves. So the Attack-Chain can never start.
