• Finally Start Throwing

  Great instructional! I learned quite a bit on positional dominance, hand fighting, getting the correct off balancing to setup throws. Shintaro does a great job of building the no gi judo system and has multiple entry ways so that you actually get to practice this in the gym. As long as your opponents dont start pulling guard every time. I also appreciated Eugene's input from both the pt and uke perspectives. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who wants to become a better stand up grappler, you can get a lot from this and there are still a lot of opportunities to mix in your own throws that aren't covered (kata guruma, te guruma, etc).

  Prof Shiny is terrific and amazing instructor. You tube channel is also great. I have many of his instructionals and they are all super helpful for learning judo both gi and no gi. 100% must buys.

  This is a great complement to the companion instructional covering Foot Sweeps and Trips. Between the two, that one covers safer takedowns, while this one has the flashier, higher amplitude throws. Bigger risks to set up, but also a bigger reward when you can land them.
