Really intersting details, very well explained.
It's a perfect dvd
I used to do the old variation of octopus guard, and people would usually counter it easily with a crossface. I tried the new techniques I learned, and they worked most of the time. I still have to practice, and I'm excited to play around or test this guard. Thanks Craig!
Incredible technique. Definitely not a guard, but is a great attack position.
finding success using on bigger partners, sometimes have my back taken, but that’s user error
This is a mossing peace of what I personally needed to fix my game. this is phenomenal work and I can recommend this instructional so much off you want to understand this actual very popular position. tank you
I have used Octopus Guard since seeing Neil Melanson show it back in the mid 2000s. I'm thankful that Craig Jones has modernized it and added new techniques to make this position even more dangerous!!!
Great details taken to another level, more insight into use in side control
Great vid!
Great update on the octopus based on better movement of the hips. Will likely use this from bottom side, and use octopus 1 from bottom half
Works like a charm
first time exeprience
Craig goes over the concepts of the guard witch I liked instead of just showing you the techniques. I think this instructional is good for anyone who trains MMA. A different way of thinking about grappling when strikes are involved and how half guard is dangerous to stay in.
Im about halfway through this and like it alot.
Seems useful though he mentions many ways it’s risky
Height is key
Easy and unorthodox techniques to help you be as skilled as the 2nd best no gi guy in the world.
Great instructional. Easy to follow. Looking forward to adding bits and pieces of this into my existing game... Thank you CJ
This instructional has given me just a 1 percent advantage on my coach whose an explosive ex MMA fighter and that's all I needed cus why is he so strong craig jones rocks and so does this instructional shout out Eduardo telles.
Craig is an outstanding instructor
Great instructional. Jones is always entertaining and has a lot to offer.
I'm getting everyone with this. And I won't tell them where it's from. Hope it stays like this for a while longer. Recommend 10/10.
Feels like fighting from sidecontrol vs Octopus but it's great content. I love the fact that he shows the move before teaching it.
Great instructional video!
Craig breaks down his theory and evolution of the octopus position very clearly. He explains the why, how, when in a way that’s easy to absorb.
