Great instructional . Everything is really well explained. Explanations are maybe a bit repetitive at times but the techniques are really good. He likes to keep things simple, and his techniques are simple, yet very effective. That's the way I like it too.

great
Great mix of old school techniques, fundamental concepts with a modern twist
amazing details!
Andre Galvao has done it again. Only better! He also explains key principles here in addition to the techniques themselves. Very helpful for my game! There's a takeaway in here for every level of BJJ athlete.
Professor Andre Galvao shows how to pass the guard. How to prevent or capitalize from turn aways. How to pass the most popular guards. How to secure the pass via north south. How to submit from all this positions. Through concepts and explained via techniques. Detailed and precise. Highly recommend!
Amazing! You can't go wrong with professor Galvao!
great
Andre is an amazing teacher. he doesn't show you complex and frustrating techniques. he bring you to them, when you are ready. Everything he shows (everything) can be incorporated in your game... really useful
Whenever a flexible guy confuses me with a invert guard I get back to this and see an appropriate way of handling it. This is a great resource when "that guy" from the gym decides to start using squid guard or something :)
Wow..... Andre Galvao is really good teacher. He really takes the time to explain his concepts and reason behind doing his techniques a certain way. No wonder his students always do so well.
The greatest resource for Jiu-Jitsu knowledge on the internet!
Excellent concepts
Excellent tutorial
Galvaos understanding of bjj as well as teaching abilities is fantastic. I've been able to implement passes from volumes 3 and 4 seamlessly into my game. I want to master these before introducing his other great techniques. Worth the purchase for sure.
I have purchased Danaher and other courses from bjj fanatics including Alex Viera, Musumeci and many others and this course is easily one of the best. Andre Galvao has put together a bulletproof conceptual approach to passing guards, and married this together with unique technical details. The whole system is taught in a very easy to understand format with a focussed teaching methodology and I came away after the first viewing with the ability to remember about 90% of the material. Professor Galvao is obviously an extremely experienced teacher and so you will benefit a lot from this instructional. Even if you a seasoned competitor, there are some game-changing details in the course- such as passing into side control with double underhooks and hammer grip rather than traditional crossface, so your opponent cannot frame and this nullifies about 99 percent of your opponents side control escapes. This is just one example.
Most of the actual guard passing concepts I was familiar with. However, the way that Andre systematizes establishing side control and the transitions that flow from the position is the best I've seen. Easily level up your side control top & guard passing game with this set.
The whole series is filled with information on grips, positioning and approach on how to pass the modern guards (DLR, lapel guard). I was able to apply some of them during my roll. I like how Prof. Andre presented the techniques from DLR to lapel guard it makes more sense and its easier to understand especially the mechanics of worm, de la worm, squid guard. I would say the target audience are those that had basic knowledge on guards and had been stuck on lapel guards. The only thing I would have wanted to see that needs improvement is the "zooming" to better see the grips, positioning of the hands. Overall this instructional is really good and a must have.
