  I love this DVD. I’ve been in this position both offensively and defensively quite a bit, but I never had a road map to navigate through the options from here. I never realized some of the sub and sweep setups that were available from this guard. Great purchase.

  Just buy this, its ****** awesome. I probably retained more from his instructional than any other sought after guys bc he is able to talk without boring the **** out of you. Moreover, his level of detail is just as good if not better than said instructors

  I love Neil teaching style. He seems like a real dude I could shoot the breeze with and probably have a blast trying to ****** each other on the mats. The material on the instructional you won’t find anywhere else. His triangle book goes over a small amount of the material but it’s photos and even that small amount is hard to visualize do you the media type. This however is perfect in that regard. The material on K guard is awesome. If you have Lachlan Giles Leg Lock anthology you’ll see a lot in how K guard is one of his favorite entrances to his Leg Entanglements. But the instructional only goes over leg entanglements from K nothing else. However in Neils there is a detail or two that’s unique to how Neil shows his leg entrance that helps when your opponent defends the leg entrance that prevents your guard from falling apart. Maybe not the sexiest thing but a very very useful idea and detail. It’s a great instructional for a new guard that will frustrate your training partners. Extreme flexibility not required. I highly recommend.

  This is a great instructional, packed with details, which is the case with all of Neil's DVD's. K guard or K control as it's also called is a position Neil pioneered and it shows, he is very meticulous throughout. K guard has become somewhat popular recently for leg locks, which he covers here too. However, Neil shows the position offeres so much more. As with all of Neil Melanson's content I highly recommend this!
