Yet another instructional from Gordon clearly explaining your options and goals from seated open guard. Fantastic course.
In all seriousness this was a great instructional for anyone that is looking to improve their seated open/butterfly guard. Lots of great Ashi entrances with great details and sequences to train. This entire DVD is well planned and categorized so you can easily find sections rather than skimming through all 8 parts. Very easy to watch from beginning to end. The rolling footage was extremely beneficial to watch as it really engraves the techniques in which Gordon is teaching and shows them in use "live". He also does a follow up where he walks you through all the live rolling footage which was also extremely beneficial. The shoulder crunch sweep that Gordon pulled off at the highest levels (ie. Buchecha ADCC 2019) really does work at the highest levels and catches so many off guard. Even when they expect it, Gordon goes into details on creating constant Kuzushi's, which will force your opponent into bad spots where you will capitalize.
Great instruction
Great instrucrional. Was able to add a lot of the pressures and sweeps to my game. Had an immediate impact
A delicate yet effective technique. The best answer to pass the guard.
Seeing this, the seated guard has improved considerably. Ready to use.
Amazing instructional! Was able to improve my jiu-jitsu immediately.
Effective and Useful Techniques! Pure Gold which is worth to keeping in your arsenal
This is a good breakdown of the position as would be expected from Gordon, but he repeats the same things many times. For a video instructional I would prefer once or twice but 3, 4, or more times is excessive. The supine series could have easily been included as part of this.
Not as concise as John Danaher but conveys concepts in a great way. There's a bit of narcissism that goes on that doesn't in anyway add to the instructional content but heys that's what Kings do I guess.
Gordon Ryan’s instructionals are always top quality. I have Gus guard retention and now started open guard, and they compliment each other well. Highly recommend, you won’t regret it!
Can't say that I am surprised at the level of detail Gordon provides, but how he explains the nuance of each position is really fantastic. A lot of other instructionals are just a bunch of techniques, but Gordon's helps you understand the entire position.

Love him or hate him, Gordon is the top of the top in no gi grappling. Having a good seated guard game is critical if you want to be competitive on the mats in no gi nowadays. This instructional has exactly what any practitioner needs to build a confident seated guard attack game. Supremely satisfied with this purchase.
Danaher JR. is giving important details on playing sitting guard clear and concise as a system.
As always, the instructionals from Gordon is like Danahers, just a bit faster. They use the same language and have the same method of teching. The instrucitons are very in depth and its sometimes hard to comprehend all the information. That might just be my blue belt ****** bjj brain, but there is a lot of material to work on is what im getting at. The biggest difference to other instructionals is that they give out so many hours of material. Iis it more expensive? yes. Is it worth it? If you wanna git gud, absolutley! Buy it now!
I really enjoy the principles/concepts based jiu jitsu from Danaher and now his star pupil Gordon. very easy to learn the understanding.
A lot of great details to incorporate to improve your seated open guard game
Great explanation.
There's a reason Gordon wins. Buy this and revolutionize your guard game!
quality information as always
