This dvd gives U the possibility to torcher Ur friends at the gym
I've trained for a long time and competed quite a bit and I'm ashamed to admit that I'd always kinda over looked the Achilles lock. Thats now changed thanks to this.
Great content. Provided concise
Best instructional out there about the achilles lock. Explained by a great fighter. Highly recommended.
The Warmaster provides a straightforward, unconventional approach to attacking straight ankle locks--or more accurately, the Achilles lock. Barnett focuses on the core concepts and details that make a sub effective--one of his many strengths as a teacher.
This instructional will make your leglock game really good, especially if you wanna have a creative and diversify leglock strategy! Must buy if you also are a huge Catch Wrestling fan!
Great explanations & breakdowns of a hold that I have struggled with for years
This is a very good video. It is perfect to give you a plan to master at least one leglock that will be legal at all levels of grappling and mma. It is hard to find someone who wants to teach this as opposed to just heel hooks and other highly illegal moves below brown belt, but this is a complete introduction to it from many different positions.
good
Some excellent additional details on one of my favorite finishers from one of my favorite grapplers
I am definitely a Josh Barnett fan so may be biased I will also say that I purchased this with a view to improving my Straight foot lock game for BJJ and am not a Catch Wrestler As a purple belt some of this Instructional is not yet applicable. However much of it is Mr Barnett demonstrates some great little nuances to the finish and how to create the best finish by getting the best position very good
Picked this up after learning about the power achilles hold from one of Jake Shannon's camps. The explanation of the positioning is very clear and getting taps from the achilles hold is now EFFORTLESS. A far cry from straining to bend someone's foot in a 'straight foot lock', this instructional really opened my eyes and makes this hold truly high level. The higher belts in the gym can't tough this lock out anymore
No Nonsense Practical Instruction! Coach Josh is great! Clear, Concise, and Applicable!
great
Brutal. Totalmente necesario.
Great training video on straight ankle locks!
Way to make a basic into a staple
Great Video! Effective and Powerful Technique! I was upgraded with this Technique!!
This is how you should learn Legattackz. From a real Warmaster!!!
Love the way he shows how to switch grips finishing the achilles lock. It's gotten me a few taps
A lot of people in my gym would always say that they would not tap to an achilles lock, that it hurts but will not cause injury. After watching this, I taught a lot of people to respect this vicious move.
I really enjoyed this instructional and it helped me introduce leg attacks into my game. Josh is a great teacher and keeps things entertaining with his insight and humor. I would recommend this video to anyone but especially to those who might have an interest in the perspectives/philosophy of catch wrestling.
The instructional itself deepens a "basic" technique. The plain vanilla achilles' hold is the classic one (with the blade of the wrist), as also thought by the Russians (and different, for example, from Dean Lister). it focuses a lot on the finishing itself, proportionally more than on the entries - something I really like. really well explained, even if I would have liked a zoom in on "where" exactly apply the pressure. interesting all the explanation of the hip and leg work necessary to accomplish the submission. the deep variation is pure gold. great work from Josh in giving the IBJJF legal variations - lot of time this aspect is not considered. entries are really "rough", but do their job. no fancy stuff. as conclusion, a great starting point to explore this submission. and learn how to effectively finish it. there will be time for the complicated entries. on the top of that... the sparring partner, Chris, is one of the best thing ever happened in an instructional. He sacrificed his tendons for our learning... he's the man
Josh Barnett brings a timeless technique back to the surface. What seemed like a technique I could never quite execute, now is a mainstay in my arsenal as a result of this instructional. With simple instruction and and explanation of hand placement and position taught by Josh Barnett in this video the Achilles lock can become a game changer in your arsenal.
Great instructional video !
