Not easy but realistic application!!
I really enjoyed this course. Josh Barnett is a fantastic teacher, and the amount of useful details he shared was amazing.
Good
Josh is a great instructor and gives you a completely different philosophy on escaping the bottom position using wrestling techniques, compared to going to your back as taught by Jiu Jitsu. To me, these techniques are very applicable to MMA or a street fight where you would not voluntarily drop to your back IE on a parking lot, concrete, etc. MMA guys are generally using wrestling standups off the bottom too. This is a very good instructional, especially for those who didn't wrestle
very good enjoyed the dynamic movement based defense approach keading to scrambling positions and getting back to the feet rather than closed gusrd trsnsitions allowing more offensive attacks
Great course under my favorite Catch wrestling coach Josh Barnett.
Excellent review of the key basics. Simple to understand and easy to apply. I keep drilling these in my students over and over again. A must have to your library.
amazing diferent take on submission grappling
Only scratching the surface of this tutorial but submitting me from behind has become quite difficult, even for the purple belts.
As an older grappler I've always had a problem with guard retention. This is the solution I've been looking for.
you probably have saved my life as a mma fighters this is straight gold for me is the best instructional on fanatics its better than Craig Jones gordan ryan and Giles those are still very good to have though
Josh is a legend and an incredible teacher, this is a great lesson for all ages and abilities.
Bottom game with ability to use dynamic moves to escape and counter. He is an interesting gentleman and his knowledge and passion makes the video very interesting and informative whislt direct, dynamic firs class and I speak with over 40 yrs grappling experience. ALways learning and always continuing my Jiu / wrestling journey.
I did not have the opportunity to learn wrestling when I was young, and I think I had many holes in my skillset as a consequence. This is one I return often to. Great for someone who doesn't want to play guard unless they have to.
This is a great, foundational download. It all comes back to the basics. I especially appreciate Josh explaining the importance of hip heists. They are very, very important and should be practiced all the time.
I was needing that
Just filthy
Nice info here for any grappler and stuff that can also be applied to self-defense situations. Highly recommended.
Great dvd ... As a fan who has seen all of his dvds I can tell this one is all the money worth
Fantastic material. Streamlined and pertinent info to learn from working bottom defense. Highly recommend it.
Impressive knowledge from the Legend J.Barnett, great recommendation for someone who wants to up their grappling game.
great details
This DVD has been very useful for helping me merge CACC with other arts. Great instruction and concepts.
Excellent, great instruction on the turtle position
This is exactly the approach that I was looking for and it really resonated with me. I love catch wrestling and have really enjoyed Josh’s method. I love pretty much all of his material. I’m pretty comfortable working from the bottom, but I prefer the catch wrestling defensive position of dominance and aggression. Josh does an excellent job of keeping things straightforward and it’s easy to grasp. I will be implementing all these things into my training for sure. Thanks for the recommendation!
