Excellent course. Highly recommended. Good instructor.
Surprised a lot of sparring partners with these moves. Great instructional!
Good instruction of the moves by Katelyn. Contains useful drills for throws, counters and takedowns.
Coach Katelyn Jarrell is teaching how to get to your set up grip and attack straight forward as well as fainting and attacking and counter attack your ipponent's shots. She first explains the grip/step set ups in depth and then she us breaking down rhe technique and eventually linking them. For better illustration you get solo demos too. Highly recommend!
Very good information that I’ve already been able to put to use.
this video had made my defense skyrocket.
not thre best instructional, but at this price is a must have
Fantastic details
This should be highlighted as a No-Gi takedowns course. I already have several from this site, but this is the one I wish I had started with. There are a variety of throws you can use offensively, or in response to the other guy's takedown attempt. Much better variety than another course I got that's about the same length. None of the throws are complex--they say you need to study judo for years to get functional, but these all seem like techniques you can drill for about a week, then pull off on resisting opponents at open mat. And it's actually a fun watch. Katelyn is clearly having fun throwing her husband (the designated training partner) around I actually laughed out loud a few times watching this. So--Great information and lots of fun!
Great. Concise instruction. Easily implemented
This is a fantastic instructional that will benefit any level or style of wrestler. I find it particularly useful for Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling where these throws will garner you 4 big points and land you in pinning positions. Those pinning positions are obviously applicable to jiujitsu and MMA as well. Katelyn is an excellent instructor and does a tremendous job of breaking down the techniques as well as the whys and what-ifs. This is among my very favorite instructional. I can't get enough of the upper body wrestling instructionals.
As a fresh beginner to wrestling, I was looking for some foundations of what to do. This was the first wrestling instructional I ever bought and watched it thoroughly. However I was still too much of a beginner to implement these moves. However after training for few months and getting comfortable on the feet, this DVD has been a blast to implement in my game! I keep coming back and reviewing the footage after my sessions and making huge leaps and bounds! Excellent value for money
great for anyone looking to use technique against bigger opponents!
This is hands down one of the best videos I've purchased on fanatics. Katelyn does an excellent job of explaining the nuances of each throw clearly and concisely. Will definitely be adding more of her stuff to my catalog.
superbly done concerning counter wrestling and judo, if you're a grappler or learning the ropes. This instructional is a must get.
Excellent content. Katelyn gave great tips on how to take down opponents that I will immediately start using. I had a few "I never thought about that" moments, but the instructional definitely improved my current game.
The size difference is throwing me off a bit but it just shows that technique beats size. It’s an awesome video and I’ve been implementing these techniques into my Wrestling/Jiu Jitsu it’s saved me a couple times as well with Freestyle practice too. Overall it’s an awesome video and I suggest everyone getting into Jiu Jitsu and Freestyle/Folkstyle wrestling give it a watch.
