Honestly the best Instructional I own. Craig gives a good insight into the mechanics and great details. Octopus Guard may seem gimmicky or unreliable but its honestly very reliable if your pair it with something like reverse Z guard.

Instantly applicable techniques. Craig makes this a sweet short instructional not too many details but he repeats the concepts throughout the video making it easy to remember necessary adjustments during rolls. By far this is the second best video ive seen

I find myself in this position alot, so naturally I was excited to see this instructional. It's a little short, but makes sense because of the transitional nature of this position. Great content although anatomical difference should always be considered when using the instructional. I'm shorter and CJ is long so the leverages need to be adjusted a bit for me. Overall a great purchase.

This is a great addition to your game if you play half guard , Craig is a great teacher and shows you how to use these techniques to optimize your sweeping and initiating scrambles that can lead to dominant positions and submissions.

As always, Craig releases a great product to cover key concepts and details on the Octopus Guard. I really like the fact that this series is more condensed as it really covers all you need to know. A must have!

I've been playing with the octopus guard for a while now without a whole lot of instruction. Craig has given me some good details I wasn't aware of, and multiple new options and avenues for attack. It's also short, simple, and clearly explained, and includes some rolling footage. I would recommend it for a half guard player or someone interested in the octopus guard.

I love half guard but used to get stuck if my partner switched their hips onto me and started flattening me out. This instructional is so useful and he's so succinct. Watch it several times, it's pretty short. The clamping down the elbow detail is key, cuz everyone's gonna be crossfacing the f@$% out of you at first. When I got the elbow detail the whole thing kind of clicked for me. Now when my partner switches their hips I give them a reacharound and they don't know what's going on. Well done, I strongly recommend.
