Leo Nogueira's instruction on Sao Paulo Passing improved my jiu-jitsu tenfold. It's like getting the master key to a bank vault of proficient knowledge. Very eye-opening! More than worth every penny!
L. N. created a great series which just start with the Sao Paulo/Toss Pass. He is covering the fundamentals in great detail and shows a every common grip variations as well as possilbe counters of your opponent. In my opinion this pass is the best option to pass the closed guard if you are not able to stand up to open the closed guard. In the other part of instructional he shows basic techniques and some variations to pass every common open guard (except lapel guards) while he is alwas focussing on applying huge pressure. Throughout the entire instructional he also always pays attention to the do`s and don`ts to avoid getting swept, reguarded or submittet while passing. Great for less flexible guys Highly recommend!
I bought this copy during pandemic and I just finished it today. This has improved my closed guard passing making it safe and effective even against higher belts! This is a must have for any belt level. Details are incredible and Prof Leonardo Nogueira covered a lot of positions here with in depth but easy to follow instructions. Thank you and more power! oss
I really loved instructional I added this to my game
What great details and specifics from a world class competitor and instructor. The variations and breakdowns are great and the concepts are chained together very well. I’m already using the ideas and techniques.
Ever had opponents already tap from the pressure you create while passing? If not, try the Sao Paolo passing system for Leonardo Nogueira! You got that old men strength guy in your gym playing always closed guard? Try the Sao Paolo pass and smother him until he rethinks ever playing closed guard against you ;-)
This instructional will improve your passing game. You will learn the "smashiest" of all high pressure passes.
I bought this probably too early into my BJJ training, and didn't really understand the art well enough to apply it properly. A few years on and a bit more experience, I recently went back to this and it holds up. There's loads of key details that I missed first time around, and I use a version of this pass in nearly every training session. Really feel for the training partner in this one!
Easy to follow techniques. Clear details instructions for all levels.
I'm just a white belt but this video has helped me break out of even the higher belts guard and the arm in Sao Paulo pass makes your opponent feel helpless if done to the detail thanks for the cheat codes for passing guard serious unstoppable force! Thanks Bjj fanatics and Leo Nogueira your techniques are going to always live on and will be forever evolving into more hybrid submission setups and methods of control!
Another helpful passing structure to add to your game! I try to stand when I can, but learning other styles is very helpful to broaden my skillset and increase my effectiveness.
Good
I really like Leo Nogueira's instructional. Both this one and the half guard instructional go into enough detail so that experienced players get something out of it but without going on and on like some instructionals. It's a good combination of fundamentals with a few little tricks here and there.
First of all, the title is quite misleading. the Sao Paulo pass cover a very little part of the instructional, most of which is dedicated to other passes. from the index, I thought they were somehow linked to the Sao Paulo pass. Anyway, it's a really solid instructional on classic guard passing. Leo Nogueira is an amazing teacher with skills tested on the mat at the highest level... and he does not hold himself back from giving you everything he knows on every technique.
One of the best instructionals I own. Great details, effective techniques and easy to follow setups. For anyone who likes presssure, this one should be in your library.
Good
Very helpful! Great for bigger guys!
This is a great instructional! I loved how Leo explained and linked different variations of the São Paulo Pass. I just began using it and it has greatly improved my passing success! This is now my favorite way to pass the full guard. Definitely worth the investment!
Many Variations! Good details on variations of the pass, when to use them, and how to counter the common defenses.
Great instructional, well explained and easy to follow. Leonardo is a great teacher and showing great details about passing! Covers passing closed guard, half guard, butterfly guard, spider, lasso and DLR. I start to use some of the passes with success!
Great instructional going deep into the São Paulo pass system, and probably the only of its kind. It’s great having the detail of all the variations. It’s a pass I did not begin to use until later in my BJJ career, but now I am a believer.
This passing system has upped my game tremendously. Very detailed and well-explained step by step. Excellent investment in my BJJ future! Thank you, Professor Leo!
Great content.
Not had a chance to drill these yet but these passes look mega tight and at some points nasty. Shout out to the real hero of this instructional, Kyle. Poor guy looked like he suffered.
excellent video easy to follow thanks BJJFanatics
