This is a great tool to add to your guard passing game. Very clear and easy to follow instructions.
After watching Leo Nogueira's Sao Paulo Passing System once, I was immediately hooked. I simply love this style of pressure passing and have immediately incorporated it into my game. This is a legit game changer. Leo's details on how to deal with the De La Riva, Spider and Lasso guards are extremely helpful. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to implement this style of pressure passing into their game.
First section will clean up your closed guard passing
The first disc has 1/3rd of the content based on the sao paulo pass with options and trouble shooting. It then goes into a variety of other passes involving stapling the legs, folding, pressure passing, berimbolo takes to the back, smashing the knee shields and trouble shooting from there. I reallyike how it shows a new keen outlook on unorthodox new school approaches that keep up with the evolution of passing to date. For example. You're told to never keep your head low in guard, well you can throw that myth out because Leo will show you no matter where you are in someone's guard at a high level you're never safe and susceptible to sweeps and submission from posturing. As an older grappler I like the idea of minimizing my energy and using pressure mechanics to open my opponents guard so this is a good investment to your game.
The Sau Paulo Passing instructional by Leo Nogueira was an insightful watch and full of a variety of detailed encounters for passing options. It's probably my favorite guard passing dvds in the gi on bjjfanatics up to date.
My go to pass after watching!
Great instructional videos ad the Sao PauloPass DOES work very good!
This is a good pressure passing series. I’m an older guy and have tried this passing system along with over/under. Even higher grades have a difficult time with them. I’m also able to slow the younger ones down a notch! I definitely recommend this series along with other pressure passing systems, for example Bernardo Farias over/under.
This DVD is a great instructional on not only the San Paulo system but also passing in general. Professor Leonardo provides some great small details that would be easy to miss otherwise. Highly recommend this DVD.
These guys are great!!
