Gordon is excelent at explaining technique, much like his coach John Danaher. He focuses on very few very important techniques in his video. This gives the viewer a solid well thought out approach on how to win the mounted position.

I should mention that the use of the word “systematically” in the mount course’s name is very well deserved. Of course, anyone who has viewed a Gordon video course before will not be surprised. For those practitioners who have a very difficult time successfully submitting a mounted opponent once they “shell up” and go defensive then this is the playbook for you.

Gordon’s approach to every position in grappling is uncanny. His instruction can be very detailed but he demonstrates his techniques very thoroughly. The narrated rolls help out a ton.

Always makes you feel like learning from anyone else is just a waste of time (dido for Danaher). This is an excellent "no-gi" complement to Roger's Gi Mount instructional. Many commonalities in their philosophical and tactical approach - but via different means (due to Gi/No Gi distinction). Fascinating to consume both titles at the same time.

In my opinion, this is the single best instructional for attacking from mount in no-gi. The information is presented in a clear and concise manner, with techniques laid out in a way that creates a systematic, dilemma-based approach to securing, maintaining, and attacking from mount. This instructional also provides very innovative techniques and details that I have not seen anywhere in my years of training and studying grappling, specifically the cross gripping mechanics that Gordon Ryan shows. My attacks, as well as my ability to achieve and maintain mount have improved significantly. I believe this instructional is well worth the price.
