Perfect!
I can imagine that this instructional would appeal primarily to two main groups of people – those starting their BJJ journey (Gi) and those instructing BJJ students. For people starting their journey this instructional teaches a limited range of: positional escapes (mount, side control, and back), submission escapes, submissions from different positions, techniques to maintain the mount position, a couple of techniques to pass the closed guard and a range of basic sweeps. It is an introductory curriculum, that once mastered will give you a very solid foundation for BJJ. For those teaching students it would be useful as a reference and beneficial to see how these techniques are taught by Andre (e.g. what points are highlighted, level of detail, etc). In total, 66 techniques are taught and the instructional has a total length of 6 hours and 25 minutes. Andre is an excellent and confident instructor. As with his other instructionals that I have purchased he speaks clearly, is engaging and knowledgeable. As you would expect Andre repeats the technique including at different angles at a slow pace while continuing to talk through the technique and finally at full speed. When applicable Andre provides information about options, responses to the technique by the opponent and your suggested responses. He provides an appropriate level of detail when teaching the techniques. In my opinion the techniques being taught are effective and efficient and typical of what is generally taught to white belts (Gi). Sound and picture quality are good, however there a couple of occasions where the camera loses focus. This instructional is fit for purpose and if you are trying to learn and improve your basic Gi techniques I think you will be pleased.
I love this fundamental course, broken down into training days, great instruction, just the right amount of information for each technique, easy to understand and perfect for training at home away from the mats. I have purchased more of Andre training. 1, 2, 3!

I really like this course. Lots of details and good explanations. Moves shown from various angles and slow speed step by step leading up to full speed. This is my first Andre Galvao course, but definitely not my last.
