A must have!
As he says in the video, the North/South is the most underutilized choke in jiujitsu. I felt like I was cheating for awhile at my gym after picking this one up!

Perfect Video for the North South choke, he has a great way of explaining something very complex without over explaining. The camera angles allow you to see exactly what he means. This video single-handedly gave me a good north south choke. Well worth the money if you’re looking to build your north south choke, even for those who know the basics of the standard variation. There’s a lot of other entries and super helpful adjustments for finishing the choke when you’re partially there but can’t quite get it. Super recommend

MG covers the North South choke in more detail than I've ever seen in another video. He covers multiple entries and dives deep into the details of finishing the choke, as well as reacting to common defenses and repositioning when things go wrong. This video made North South one of my highest percentage chokes.

Great instructional. Just finished the first volume and all I can say is this is very thorough. The North/South Choke is one I have struggled with and never really gotten a handle on. This set really breaks down the positioning and the grips along with hip and leg placement and things to look out for. I will give this 5 starts based off of the first volume alone. If you have this choke down, the first volume may not be of too much help, but if you struggle, get this set.

Marcelo goes into detail and different scenarios of when and how to use this choke. Amazing! Been waiting for this for a long time. I was studying his YouTube videos before this and he goes into amazing detail you can't find on YouTube. Only way is to either take his classes or buy this video

I found myself transitioning from side control to north-south quite often and quite easily as most people expect you to attack from side control or move to knee on belly or mount. Once in north-south position, the north-south choke was there much more often than not. However, I had a very low percentage of actually getting a finish. This video presents a very in-depth study of the north-south choke which I believe has corrected the mistakes I was making and I look forward to applying it once we get back to rolling.

I love Marcelo and I love the north south choke. This video series is very well done and very comprehensive . Marcelo explains all the details of how to set up the position, how to transition to your strong side to apply the choke and how to finish. The only thing I wish Marcelo had included is tips about finishing the choke with the gi. Overall, I highly recommend this video!
