• Snap Guard really is the natural way for wrestlers to play guard

  What can I say, Neil is AWESOME! Coming from a strong wrestling background, I wanted to be able use my grappling ability in bjj. Neil's clear breakdown of concepts has really skyrocketed my game to a new level and has been helping me to accomplish that goal. I'm still learning the fundamentals of the art, but now I catch people off guard with "unorthodox" attacks that feel natural to me.

  I am a huge fan of Neil's grappling style and even more so his coaching style. As with everything he teaches, you won't end up in bad spots if you miss, and he teaches in a concise and understandable manner. Despite the title of this series, this is not a guard system as much as it is a style of playing starting from a sort of half butterfly. This instructional will change the way you look at engaging opponents from the traditional pulling style that most BJJ guys play in to more of an offensive, attacking style with the thought that, if anything goes wrong you can get up on top at any point. Neil teaches in an easy to understand way, with no extra fluff or boring unnecessary explanations. If you follow his style and instruction the tactics and techniques you learn will absolutely change your game.
