I'd been eyeing this instructional for a while, and I'm very glad I finally purchased it. There are three main unique qualities I've found here 1) The instructional contains a good number of innovative moves that can be used in the turtle or turtle/adjacent situations, rather than only one move with dozens of minute variations 2) Eduardo's weight and bearing are so unique and seeing him execute these moves reinforces exactly how the body mechanics work - his efficiency is unparalleled 3) The video is just the beginning of a new attitude towards using defensive postures to attack. I'm already coming up with combinations and alternatives based on the foundation set here
Great instructional and techniques. Simple but very effective.
Nice turtle details from the OG turtle master.
This is a really fun and thought provoking video. If you’re looking to break out of your usual patterns: check this out. (Unless your usual pattern is to play from turtle…maybe I would still recommend it!)
E. T. provided an short but very detailed instructional about his very unique style of using the turtle to set up his attacks and protect yourself from your opponents attacks. He points out really well how valuable the turtle position can be to counter attack your opponents action and reaction to your advantage. He also shows how well the turtle position connects to half guard and deep half guard as well as recover closed and open guard. He also points out in detail how the moves and the diffrent actions/reactions connect to each other. His techniques are simple and easy to follow. Highly recommend!!
Good details.
Great info full of great basics that anyone can learn from.
A lot of great content that I'm going to start applying asap. Definitely worth the purchase.

My style is to diversify the half guard, but in order to avoid being passed by my opponent, I learned from this great video and it made fighting a little easier!
Some very nice details for building good defensive skills. Being able to defend against aggressive passers is one of the toughest challenges for beginners and I started using some of the concepts for my students with good success.
As I start BJJ, I get my back and taken - a lot. This instructional makes you feel more comfortable in the turtle position while you try and figure out where to go next.
Eduardo is the turtle guard GOAT. Wanna learn turtle? Learn from the man who’s known to be the best at it.
This instructional is great for anyone looking to diversify their game and introduce the turtle guard! I remember attending a Telles seminar and his laid-back style, presentation of scenarios, and unconventional moves really resonated with me, so I was really glad to see this whole instructional go through the basic guard concepts. Ordering from BJJ Fanatics is always good value and well organized content!
Superb content.
Used wisdom from this video in a tournament last week and won gold from inside seated back mount. When she went for a lapel choke, I just turned my head and smiled cause I knew she couldn't finish it in a million years. She spent a minute chasing the submission, giving me a minute to work for a straight ankle lock. Man, was she pi$$ed. Ended up getting two taps in one cause she forfeited the next round out of anger.
Excellent instructional and techniques that I have put to good use - nuff said!
Eduardo Telles shows impressively, that the Turtle position is not just a defensive position but can be redefined as a very offensive position where a lot of people will not expect you to be the driving force. Great details and a clear and on point instruction.
Worth the price
I’ve learned a lot of fun sweeps that I have incorporated into my game.
I own the old dvds of professor tellers from the 00s… it’s is a necessary update! Loved it
Telles teach me clever tactics of turtle position!!
give the back to attack. talking about wining torunaments with surprises
was always stuck in turtle when I first started bjj. If you are good at scrambles this is a must have.
I particular like the tips on escaping side control
