  We never discuss wrist locks in our classes. This is a great resource to fully appreciate the concepts behind wrist locks and how to implement them into your BJJ practice.

• Really Interesting Philosophy

  Matt Arroyo takes the most effective wrist lock techniques out of hundreds and narrows them down. Afterwards, he shows how to chain wristlocks with a host of other submissions. This enables you to get a wristlock to salvage another lost submission, or inversely, to go for the wristlock first because it's less risky and use a different submission as a backup plan. Basically, the wristlock can be used as a supplement to attack and increase your submission percentage. This was an eye opening philosophy for sure, and I thank the instructor for the insights.
