Very nice pointers to stay in game with larger opponents
Very insightful concepts to handle oneself when facing the larger opponents.
Fantastic video. I am a light weight in a gym with lots of heavy bodies. Helped me a lot!
Thanks, Matt! I appreciate how approachable you make learning. Other than a few classes in BJJ, I'm mostly a Krav Maga practitioner. I've come to lean on the details you offer, especially against bigger, stronger opponents, in applying techniques and strategies in grappling.
The instructional offers a gameplan and a complete game against larger opponents. The instruction is clear and the techniques are well explained.
Love it!
Good stuff
Great for us hobbits
Great instructional for those struggling against larger grapplers!
This is a great instructional that will give you a really great strategy for beating bigger grapplers. Like anything in BJJ, you still have to put the work in, make lots of mistakes, and integrate this stuff into your game. But it's solid. I haven't tried everything in the video yet, but what I have tried is working well for me and I'm beating those bigger guys a lot more. Plus most of the stuff that works on the bigger guys works just as well (or better) on smaller guys too. I won't give any spoilers but one of the chokes he teachers has become a go-to attack for me against everyone.
It is great to start with these concepts
Very nice and clear content
Clear and easy to follow, straight to the point with quick demos and excellent detail.
It works with gi and no gi.
Holding positions is important and adressed.
It really makes less use of strength, and instead precision.
Im older which is why this video is a must have.
Strong principles and fundamentals for dealing with bigger grapplers.
Gave me a lot of good ideas and principles to start thinking about the bigger matchup, empowers you with a lot of ideas to try
amazing
I am a 5.2 feet female and always roll with guys. sometimes the guys are 3 times bigger and stronger than me. I always get flipped very easily and chest pressed into the air. this instructional give me some ideas what to work on and strategies to use.
Good stuff so far. Matt always breaks things down to the simplest levels.
Very good instructional! I plan to implement all of the lessons in this simple, easy to follow, effective gameplan for rolling with big people. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it is not as comprehensive and detailed as what I've come to expect from a BJJ instructional.
As someone who is only 5 ft 8 but 210. I am constantly rolling with guys 250 and above. This has helped me defend against these monsters very well
Good to know strategies when your out classes
