Go Further Faster Half Guard Rocks
I love how Professor Danaher breaks down half guard to a science, showing you various angles for a complete perspective. I feel this instructional is easy to follow for the most beginner students to black belt. I recommend Professor Danaher’s instructional as the will significantly up your game.

After I finished the Pin and Turtle Escape series, I found myself stuck in bottom half guard pretty often (that and turtle). I had no idea what to do, and I thought this half guard series might give me some ideas. Within weeks of watching it and drilling it with a partner, I had an effective bottom half guard game and was routinely hitting reversals and submissions. It is now my favorite position, and this video series prepared me to dive deeper into other areas of half guard like deep half and butterfly half.

John Danaher is John Danaher for a reason. All of his advice is incredibly helpful and I recommend all of his videos. I love the detail that goes into all of his explanations, he not only shows you the move but also goes through multiple scenarios that show you how the conditions around the move might vary and how you can alter the move to meet the new conditions. Only downside is that he makes everything look very easy : )

I have most of Danaher's work, and I would say this stands out as the best one for a beginner to start with and get used to his style. So so good and applicable right away

John is the best teacher in the game. I've learned a ton from this video that I'll be able to apply right away. As I'm getting older, half guard becomes the best game for me to slow things down with young explosive guys. John has a ridiculous amounts of knowledge and the material is easy to understand and digest.
