I really like this series. The videos are short and sweet, a few techniques each. You have to know how to finish an omoplata before you buy this... I'm starting the 4th video now and so far Glover didn't explain how to finish an omoplata--I suppose the series is intended for people who already have some familiarity with it. He also says during the videos that in order to pull off some of his techniques you have to have prior knowledge about forward rolling gramby rolls. The vids are all techniques to set up omoplatas, or defend them. Not sure about the 4th volume yet obviously, since I haven't watched it. I will probably watch it today before I go in to train. I haven't tried all of these yet. I tried one of his setups and it fell apart for me but literally that was the first one I tried, while I was rolling with someone who didn't want to let me do anything, the same day or the day after I learned it. I believe these setups are gold, but we'll see. 3rd volume was several non-standard omoplata escapes. I know and use a couple of more standard omoplata escapes and I had never heard of Glover's. The first two videos as I recall were entries, and I had never seen any of these entries before. Not only from guard. This is mind bending stuff. Some of the stuff in video 1 will make you look like a black belt for sure. Like I said the videos are short and sweet. Each one has a few techniques, all of them look like legit game changing set ups, he explains them in a plain English way without a lot of big words or unnecessary philosophy, just here is the technique, here is how you do it, here is why it works. The whole volume might be 20 minutes. I'm a bjjfanatics addict, and this is one of the good ones for sure.
Great system for omoplatas
Jeff glover is a legend in the way he thinks love his theory's
Really helped my game. Jeff really knows jiujitsu, his style of teaching is one of the best.
I didn't start REALLY getting into omoplatas until brown belt and this is a great resource. Jeff has a unique style and getting the shoulder lock down will make your game UPA a level or two
Love every one of Jeff Glovers series, always adding to my arsenal, never disappoints
Great setups
This is an excellent instructional for those who are looking to add to their Omoplata game. There are unique and fun setups which is what Jeff Glover is known for. This is the second instructional from Glover that I have purchased. I enjoy his teaching style. He lays out the instructional into sections that are concise and flow together logically. You get a lot of information in a short period of time.
I’ve always had trouble getting the positioning right and always did more work to try finish the submission but because of this instructional I’m able to complete it more easier than normal.
