Neil has great content, and great little tips that make all the difference. This series both increased my finishing abilities with head and arm and taught me a bunch of cool little tricks to get them from different places in different ways. Well worth it.
This is a truly excellent instructional. Neil gives so much detail here to tighten up and improve your technique. It's always interesting to me to "think" I'm doing a technique correctly, and then have someone add in the details to make me see how much better it can be. That is one of Neil's talents, and he teaches it step by step in this one so you can really finish your opponent quickly. Highly recommend.
My head and arm choke improved tremendously after just one watch, and there’s still so much more to take in
Awesome instructional. Neil is very detailed and entertaining. I have been able to consistently apply techniques from this instructional during rounds. Definitely buying other series by Neil.
Neil Melanson delivers a great instructional. Arm triangles are one of my favorite techniques. This instructional helped me up my finishing potential by showing me the intregal parts I often miss when it comes to this position. Simple angles and positioning that I was missing were fixed in this instructional.
I'm happy with every instructional I have of his. Good techniques, with good details. Definitely worth the price. It changed how I approach head and arm in a lot of ways.
Very methodical instruction! Everything was very well explained in a step-by-step process!
Neil gives an entertaining plethora of submissions in his video. Shows combinations and followups with detail! His instruction is always top notch and brutal for his training partners
Great Instruction! Neil gives such precise instructions and all of the little nuances that have made one of my favorite subs much more effective. One of my favorite instructional so far from BJJFanatics!
Neil Melanson is a Grappling Genius! Love this video.
I really don't like to leave reviews but this instructional really deserved one. I learned the arm triangle over 10 years ago. I can get people into the position but I could never finish, and the rare times when I did finish it was a neck crank. I bought the instructional and within 30 minutes I discovered this missing detail that had been eluding me for 10 years. Melanson is a great instructor and he is really funny. So let's sum this up. Buy the instructional, have some fun watching it and fix your garbage arm triangle.
Haven't trained for nearly 2 years after becoming the purple belt because of the COVID pandamic. Neil is one of my "triangle" teachers. The video is very easy to understand.
I’m a beginner in bjj and this video helped my game so much. Neil Melanson teaches and explains his techniques in a precise and easy to understand way. Arm Triangles are one of my favorite moves and this instruction seriously innovated and transformed how I perform this submission. I’m a huge fan of Neil Melanson and I’m definitely going to get more of this instructionals!
Brilliant. My favourite submission so i enjoyed it a lot
Starting with variations on how to actually finish a triangle and then moving steadily through various entries and scenarios. Can not praise Coach Neil's unique hybrid grappling enough praise.
Awesome moves from a master with some comedy sprinkled in that will make you laugh!
Brilliant, lots of entries, lots of great details, very funny and wonderfully naughty in places. Take my money, I want more of his instructionals!!
This is the second of Neil's instructionals that I've bought, and now that I've watched about 8 hours of material from him, it's tempting to go on a shopping spree and buy all of his other instructionals at one time! To me, this instructional seems like it's appropriate for a variety of skill levels and experience with the arm triangle. Whether you're someone who only knows what an arm triangle is and do not have much more than that, or you're someone who already successfully uses it in your game, I feel like you'll find value in this. It's great how Neil starts with his lesson for beginners on the choke and builds in a logical progression from there. I love the level of detail Neil provides during his explanations. He consistently tells you what he's doing and why he's doing it, whether it's the style of grip he's using, where he's putting pressure on his partner, how he's positioning his body, etc. Neil is an entertaining teacher, and throughout the instructional, I respect how he "hat tips" various students, fighters, and coaches he's worked with in the past. Be sure to watch each segment from beginning to end because he throws in miscellaneous grappling tips here and there, and you might miss them if you skip around or fast forward!
Amazing to learn from such high quality instructors. Having the ability to apply techniques on the mat, and troubleshoot through video is extremely beneficial.
This was great. I am a former collegiate wrestler and I like how he blends the styles. I would pay an irresponsible amount of money for your combat jiujitsu DvD. All of his other DvDs are great as well. His DVDs have helped me integrate my wrestling and jiu jitsu which was a massive game changer.
A very good complement to pressure passing guys. Especially from the half guard in my opinion. This dvd is a MUST, great teaching from Neil and a great sense of humour as well. Thank you!
When you Interested in Arm Triangle, you really need this DVD!! Arm triangle is my favorite Submission and since I got this DVD, my choke-skill changed a lot!!!
As always, Coach Neil provides a very in depth instructional. Easy to follow concepts with application that you can use on the mat even after watching the 1st Video.
Great series with some details I will definitely be adding to my game. Neil alludes to possibly making a combat juijitsu DVD in it, PLEASE DO THAT!
I'm already a lifetime 35% off member so don't need the discount but still loved the video and would say if I did not. Neil and Danaher are my favorite trainers, although very different in their approach. Danaher is the 6 course gourmet meal while... Like the Movie "What about Bob" "Meat and Potatoes" for arm Triangles. Right to the point, 30 minute ish Vids getting you right into the drills. Just enough theory, but more heavy with the arm triangle and how to get there from various situations. "Learn to teach, teach to learn" and after watching these I took my two kids through all the drills and they got it right away. Very satisfying training video, thanks again Neil.
