I really like this product, Hauter is big on self defence and demonstrates how to grip to avoid punches, as well as a great variation of the scissor sweep that involves pain compliance. Great details, and rather funny at times too.
I loved this video. Chris’ knowledge and understanding of the mechanics of original Gracie/Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is tremendous. His explanations are concise, articulate and applicable in a variety of real situations.
Another great instructional by Chris Haueter, unique teaching style and a variety of instructors, would absolutely recommend this.
This is a fantastic series from someone that started training before year zero (UFC 1). Old school principals and fundamentals that can only improve you. Plus, Chris is a great instructor.
Old School Efficient BJJ by Chris Haueter. Legendary teacher, great series.
Great instructional that isn't focused on winning by points of advances. He focuses on self defense and applying BJJ to beat your opponent.
Chris is thorough while keeping instruction a simple as possible. He does a great job explain all the various “pressures” needed as well.
Great basics to reinforce what your professor is teaching you in class.
This is really good, well worth picking up. Please don't binge watch this. Take the time and drill one part, then move on.
Great instructional
I am impressed with this video.
Good work
This is an excellent video for someone looking to simplify their BJJ. I have not been training very long but the style in this video is easy to understand and Chris’s instruction is just what I was looking for at this time. Thank you BJJ fanatics for your excellent customer service and this incredible site.
This video has plenty of ideas and techniques that can be utilized in the training. I tried one of them and could submit a bigger and I guess stronger opponent than me.
Great information. I appreciate the addition of boxing and catch as catch can as well.
Very good and detailed instruction. Highly recommended!
This material isn't flashy but it's super solid and it works. If I get in trouble trying something new, I can always revert to the basic concepts taught in this video and get back to safety.
Great video, learning a lot of new techniques. What I like the most from the video are the fundamentals that are taught.
Really good techniques that would work in a real life self defense situation . This is geared towards self preservation in the real world the roots of gracie bjj. Great techniques well explained and adds little extra details to the fundamentals that take it to another level. Chris really is a master and what he does and explains in a manner the average mere mortal can understand. This is one tough dude. You also get other people showing techniques who are all very good teachers. To finish some MMA tips at end which not yet got too . All in all well worth it I got it in one of sales so well pleased. Love some of the bjj fanatics stuff really improved my understanding of the process of learning this difficult art.
Chris Haueter––one of American BJJ's "Dirty Dozen"––is an amazing instructor, and I've found this DVD invaluable as a BJJ white belt. He clearly lays out the fundamentals in a no-nonsense, systemic way. Coach Haueter's delivery is part old-school punk rocker, part old-school high school wrestling coach and his approach to the art is illuminating and precise.
I’ve come to the realization that mastering the basics in Jiu-Jitsu is the foundation for all future progress. The breakdown of each move gives additional perspective that you may have overlooked in your game. It’s not just an explanation of how, but why.
Im new to jiujitsu and this helped me immensely. I feel it gave me a boost to my training.
Good solid fundamentals, that a easy to learn.
Awesome
Bread and butter fundamentals! This is absolute solid instruction from a guy who has been doing this a long time. The finer points relating to techniques which you think you already know are what make it worth the money and will take your game too the next level. Worth every penny!
